摘要: A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a network of wireless remote climate sensors to develop a complete heat map of an enclosed space. The remote climate sensor is configured to collect temperature and humidity data on a zone of the enclosed space. The HVAC system uses a network of these sensors to obtain data points across the enclosed space. The resulting heat map is used by the HVAC system to determine where to direct air in the enclosed space. By comparing the temperature and humidity at a specific remote climate sensor with the user's desired temperature and humidity, the HVAC system can decide whether to increase or decrease the air flow through a variable damper that is located near the remote climate sensor. By conducting this analysis throughout the enclosed space and making incremental adjustments to the air flow in hot and cold spots in the enclosed space, the disclosed HVAC system provides even comfort to the user along with reduced energy consumption.

摘要: A method for registering an HVAC device in a distributed building management system (BMS). The method includes requesting a token. The token is configured to authorize a registration of the HVAC device. The method further includes receiving the token at a registration service, and receiving a unique ID associated with the HVAC device at the registration service. The method also includes registering the device into a document database of the registration service and generating a device shadow associated with the HVAC device. The method also includes storing the device shadow in the distributed BMS.

摘要: A network of wireless remote climate sensors in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system permits the creation of personalized microclimates within an enclosed space. In addition to collecting temperature and humidity data, the wireless remote climate sensors can detect whether the enclosed space is occupied by a human. Human detection is made possible by optional cameras, microphones, and gas sensors on the wireless remote climate sensors. As the human moves throughout the enclosed space, the HVAC system is able to track the human's movement using the wireless remote climate sensors. The HVAC system may adjust airflow to different portions of the enclosed space based on the human's location. The result is an efficient use of system resources to keep users at their ideal temperature.

摘要: An indoor air quality (IAQ) system for a building includes an IAQ sensor that is located within the building and that is configured to measure an IAQ parameter. The IAQ parameter is one of: an amount of particulate of at least a predetermined size present in air; an amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in air; and an amount of carbon dioxide present in air. A mitigation module is configured to: selectively turn on a mitigation device based on a comparison of the IAQ parameter with a first ON threshold and a second ON threshold; and selectively turn off the mitigation device based on a comparison of the IAQ parameter with an OFF threshold. A clean module is configured to determine a clean value for the IAQ parameter. A thresholds module is configured to, based on the clean value, determine the first ON threshold and the OFF threshold.

The HVAC controller includes a controller that is configured to display one or more screens on a user interface that include a home screen including a selectable display element that indicates a number of the plurality of sensors that are currently being used by the controller in controlling the HVAC system. Upon selection of the selectable display element, the controller displays a sensor priority screen that includes a plurality of graphic constructs that each identify a building space and a current temperature for that building space. The controller is configured to control the HVAC system in accordance with the current temperature reported by each of the number of the plurality of sensors that are currently being used by the controller in controlling the HVAC system.

摘要: An actuator in a HVAC system includes a mechanical transducer, a processing circuit, a wireless transceiver, and a power circuit. The processing circuit includes a processor and memory and is configured to operate the mechanical transducer according to a control program stored in the memory. The wireless transceiver is configured to facilitate bidirectional wireless data communications between the processing circuit and an external device. The power circuit is configured to draw power from a wireless signal received via the wireless transceiver and power the processing circuit and the wireless transceiver using the drawn power. The processing circuit is configured to use the power drawn from the wireless signal to wirelessly transmit data stored in the memory of the actuator to the external device via the wireless transceiver, wirelessly receive data from the external device via the wireless transceiver, and store the data received from the external device in the memory.

摘要: An environmental control system for a building including heating, ventilation, or air conditioning (HVAC) equipment that operates to affect a temperature of a zone of the building. The system includes a temperature sensor to measure the temperature and a controller including a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to operate the HVAC equipment based on a temperature setpoint and gather training data indicating system dynamics. The processing circuit is configured to monitor a temperature tracking error of the zone and a heat transfer value of the HVAC equipment and determine if the HVAC equipment is in a saturation region based on the temperature tracking error and the heat transfer value. The processing circuit is configured to, in response to a determination that the HVAC equipment is in the saturation region, calculate an adjusted temperature setpoint and operate the HVAC equipment based on the adjusted temperature setpoint.

摘要: A bedding climate control apparatus that delivers, in a quiet manner, forced airflow from a fan/blower within a housing to selectively deliver tempered (heated via a thermal element) forced airflow and non-tempered (room temperature) forced airflow through a flexible air conduit to bedding. The thermal element imparts heat to temper the forced airflow and the heat deliver may be adjusted to maintain a constant set temperature by adjusting imparted heating power depending on backpressure changes in the forced airflow and ambient temperature.
