    Abstract: A method for predictive maintenance of an ultrasonic sensor in an HVAC system, the ultrasonic sensor including one or more ultrasonic transducers that measure ultrasonic signals as a function of time during an operation of the HVAC system, and produce raw electronic signals as a function of time, the method including the method elements of extracting a signal parameter from the raw electronic signals; creating a set of data including the signal parameter as a function of time; selecting one or more limit parameters; and estimating a time limit based on the set of data. The time limit is a time when the signal parameter is predicted to reach the limit parameter.

An example method receives a first data set comprising heat transfer data over a first time interval. The method generates, with a machine learning model, a data prediction based upon the first data set, wherein the data prediction comprises expected heat transfer data over a second time interval. The method receives a second data set comprising heat transfer data over the second time interval. The method determines a cooling coil degradation level based on a difference between the data prediction and the second data set.

    Abstract: A normalization unit acquires a normalized reference value being a value obtained from normalization of a reference value according to a predetermined normalization rule, the reference value being a status value acquired from an air conditioner during a normal estimation period during which the air conditioner is estimated to operate normally, the status value indicating an operational status of the air conditioner. An acquiring unit acquires from the air conditioner, the status value as a diagnosis value during a diagnosis period during which it is not clear whether or not the air conditioner operates normally and which is after the normal estimation period. The normalization unit normalizes the diagnosis value according to the normalization rule.
