    Abstract: A switch control circuit controls a switch element connected to a primary coil of an ignition coil in accordance with an ignition signal. The switch element includes a transistor and a protection element connected between a collector and gate of the transistor. The switch control circuit uses a voltage at a gate terminal controlling the transistor or a voltage corresponding to a collector current of the transistor as a detection voltage and generates a status detection signal corresponding to a change in the detection voltage.

    Abstract: A vehicle kill switch assembly includes a switch that is coupled to a vehicle. The switch is positioned beneath a driver's seat of the vehicle and the switch is electrically coupled to the ignition system of the vehicle. The ignition system is turned off when the switch is disengaged. A biasing unit is coupled to the vehicle and the driver's seat is coupled to the biasing unit. The biasing unit biases the driver's seat upwardly in the vehicle and the biasing unit is compressed when the driver sits in the driver's seat. The switch is engaged when the biasing unit is compressed to facilitate the vehicle to be driven. Conversely, the switch is disengaged when the biasing unit biases the driver's seat upwardly to inhibit the vehicle from being driven.

Specific implementations of ignition interrupters may include a first conductive tab configured to couple to a spark plug; a second conductive tab configured to couple to a spark plug wire; a first tab holder coupled with the first conductive tab; a second tab holder coupled with the second conductive tab, where the second conductive tab overlaps with the first conductive tab; a sled positioned perpendicularly to a plane of the first conductive tab and the second conductive tab, the sled coupled between the first conductive tab and the second conductive tab; a first spring coupled to the sled; and a second spring coupled to the sled; where the sled may be configured to move to an open position in the gap between the first conductive tab and the second conductive tab, decompressing the first spring and the second spring.

    Abstract: An internal combustion engine igniter of the present invention includes a current limiting circuit that limits current flowing to the IGBT by controlling a gate voltage of the IGBT in accordance with the current flowing to the IGBT, a waveform-shaping circuit that suppresses an oscillation of the current flowing to the IGBT by applying to the gate voltage of the IGBT an auxiliary voltage generated from a collector voltage of the IGBT when current is being limited by the current limiting circuit, and, in addition, a heat-generation suppressing circuit that obtains an intermediate voltage by resistively dividing the auxiliary voltage generated by the waveform-shaping circuit when current is being limited by the current limiting circuit, and that suppresses IGBT heat generation by increasing the current flowing to the IGBT in accordance with the intermediate voltage.
