摘要: Provided is a method of detecting photoresist scums and photoresist residues. A carrier is provided. The carrier has a photoresist layer with opening patterns therein. A plasma etching process is performed to the opening patterns of the photoresist layer. Charges are injected to the opening patterns of the photoresist layer. Whether a photoresist scum or residue is present in at least one of the opening patterns is detected.

摘要: Methods and systems for stimulating and monitoring electrogenic cells are described. Some systems for stimulating electrogenic cells are based on the injection of electric currents into the cells via electrodes connected to the cells. Such stimulators may comprise an impedance element having an input terminal and an output terminal coupled to an electrode, and a voltage follower coupled between the input terminal and the output terminal of the impedance element, the voltage follower being configured to maintain a substantially constant voltage between the input terminal and the output terminal of the impedance element. The impedance element may comprise one or more switched capacitors at least in some embodiments. In some embodiments, the voltage follower may be implemented using a source follower.

The electrodes are at least partially embedded in the probe body and insulated from one another by the probe body, wherein the at least two electrodes are embodied of at least one conductive material and the probe body of at least one electrically insulating ceramic, wherein the electrodes are embodied of thin, measuring active layers of a conductive material and sit in an end face of the probe body of a ceramic material, and wherein the electrodes are electrically contacted via connection elements extending through the probe body.

摘要: A ceramic member unit includes at least insertion members and a ceramic member having insertion sections into which the insertion members are inserted respectively. Each of the insertion sections has at least an insertion opening which opens on a deeper side of an introduction opening in the surface of the ceramic member while communicating with the introduction opening and into which the insertion member can be inserted. The insertion section further has taper hole portions becoming narrower toward the insertion opening in a communication region between the introduction opening and the insertion opening. The taper hole portions are connected to the insertion opening while increasing in a taper angle toward the insertion opening.

摘要: A bubble detection sensor includes an emitter having an emitting surface and a receiver positioned on a side of a fluid conduit opposite the emitter. The receiver has a receiving surface adapted to receive a signal emitted by the emitter through a fluid of the fluid conduit. A sensor axis extending normal to the emitting surface and the receiving surface is disposed at a rotation offset angle with respect to a plane extending normal to a longitudinal conduit axis of the fluid conduit. The rotation offset angle is set to optimize a ratio of a sensitivity of the signal received by the receiver to an efficiency of the signal received by the receiver.

The elongate portion is covered with at least one layer of an electrical-insulator coating that extends from the base to proximal the tip. The present disclosure also provides a micro-electrode array comprising at least two three-dimensional micro-electrodes that are electrically connective to at least one recording system. The present disclosure also provides a method of making and using a three-dimensional micro-electrode and an array that comprises three-dimensional micro-electrodes.

摘要: Techniques for gas analysis using a parallel dipole line (PDL) trap viscometer are provided. In one aspect, a gas analysis system is provided which includes: a PDL trap including: a pair of diametric cylindrical magnets, and a diamagnetic rod levitating above the magnets; and a motion detector for capturing motion of the diamagnetic rod. The motion detector can include a digital video camera positioned facing a top of the PDL trap so as to permit capturing video images of the diamagnetic rod and the system can include a computer for receiving and analyzing video images from the video camera. Methods for measuring gas viscosity and pressure using the PDL trap system are also provided.

摘要: A system for identifying a drug simulant includes an electronic sensing system structured to measure the value of an inherent property of the drug simulant; a processing unit in electrical communication with the electronic sensing system; and a memory unit in communication with the processing unit, the memory unit having a look-up table including a range of values of the inherent property of a given fluid and corresponding names of simulated drugs associated with each value. The processor is structured to identify a name of the simulated drug corresponding to the drug simulant by receiving signals indicative of the value of the measured inherent property from the sensing system and comparing the value to the look-up table in the memory.
