Abstract: A turbomachinery plant is conceived to maximize the power generated by an electrical reversible machine when works as a generator, by reducing the power absorbed by a compressor connected to the electrical reversible machine. The compressor is connected to an antisurge circuit included in the turbomachinery plant, as well as to a suction unit by a first line and to a gas collection unit by a second line and the turbomachinery plant comprises a gas depressurizing compressor so that, when in use, an amount of gas sucked by the gas depressurizing compressor moves from the antisurge circuit to the gas depressurizing compressor and the compressor rotates encountering less resistance and absorbing less power and the power generated by the electrical reversible machine is maximized.

Abstract: Energy efficiency and/or operational stability of a multistage compression system comprising a plurality (N) of centrifugal compressors that is compressing a gas feed having a variable flow rate is improved by adjusting reversibly the load on each compressor in response to changes in the flow rate of the gas feed using a main recycle system to enable operation of the centrifugal compressors at turndown capacity during periods when the flow rate is below total turndown capacity for all of the compressors, and if necessary, using the local recycle systems in order to avoid activation of anti-surge control, and switching one or more centrifugal compressors into low power mode or shutdown mode as required.

Abstract: Examples described herein provide a computer-implemented method that includes receiving training data indicative of incipient compressor surge for cabin air compressors. The method further includes generating, using the training data, a training spectrogram. The method further includes training, by a processing system, a machine learning model to detect incipient compressor surge events for the cabin air compressors using the spectrogram. The method further includes receiving, at a microcontroller associated with a cabin air compressor, operating data associated with the cabin air compressor. The method further includes generating, at the microcontroller and using the operating data, an operating spectrogram. The method further includes detecting, by the microcontroller associated with the cabin air compressor, an incipient compressor surge event by applying the machine learning model to the operating spectrogram. The method further includes implementing a corrective action to correct the incipient compressor surge event.

Abstract: An elastomeric dampening link including two or more interconnected dampening bushings mounted around corresponding ones of two or more adjustable length turnbuckles linked to devices and elastomeric dampening link includes at least one bar connecting adjacent ones of the dampening bushings. Clamping bands of clamp may be clamped around each of the dampening bushings. Bar may be in tension between the dampening bushings. Each of the turnbuckles may include a rod disposed in a corresponding one of the dampening bushings and having distal hollow internally threaded first end, first eyelet mounted on the first externally threaded shank adjustably screwed into internally threaded first end. One of the bushings may be substantially solid, have a rectangular slot extending inwardly from an annular surface of bushing, and the rod may have six sided surface with two opposite sides slidingly engaging and fitting snugly in the slot. Turnbuckles and links may be used to actuate variable stator vanes.

Abstract: A system for supplying compressed air to a pneumatic network includes a load compressor, an air supply and a power shaft driving the load compressor. The system also includes in an air outlet of such load compressor, a connecting channel connected, on the one side, with a channel connected with the pneumatic network and, on the other side, with an air discharge conduct towards an exhaust nozzle. Air flow rate bleed valves are controlled by a processing unit via servo-loops as a function of the pressure sensors and the speed sensor.
