Abstract: A multi-switch pump assembly is disclosed that facilitates switched flow and/or mixed flow from the pump assembly. The multi-switch pump assembly comprises a pump body, an electric motor, a rotating motor shaft, a first pump stage and impeller, and a second pump stage and impeller. The first pump stage includes a first inlet and first and second outlets disposed about the pump body. The second pump stage includes a second fluid inlet connected to a mix chamber. The mix chamber further connected to the second fluid outlet of the first pump stage. The second stage further includes a second and a third outlet disposed about the pump body. An actuator connected to a valve assembly is arranged to operate and place the valve assembly into at least a first, a second, a third and a fourth switched positions to direct fluid flow between the first and the second pump stages and the first, second, third and fourth fluid outlets.

Abstract: A method for determining a mass flow of a dynamic compressor that does not include a mass flow sensor while the compressor is operating to compress a working fluid includes determining, by a processor, a current operating point of the compressor. If the current operating point is the same as one in a map of a plurality of predetermined operating points stored in a memory, the mass flow of that predetermined operating point is retrieved as the mass flow of the current operating point. Otherwise, the processor calculates the mass flow at the current operating point from the mass flows of a subset of the predetermined operating points nearest the current operating point. The dynamic compressor continues to operate to compress the working fluid based at least in part on the calculated mass flow rate for the current operating point.

Abstract: A process for producing compressed hydrogen gas, said process comprising electrolysing water to produce hydrogen gas and compressing said hydrogen gas in a multistage compression system to produce compressed hydrogen gas. The multistage compression system comprises at least one centrifugal compression stage, and the hydrogen gas is fed to the centrifugal compression stage at a pre-determined feed temperature and pressure and having a pre-determined relative humidity. The process further comprises adding water and heat to the hydrogen gas upstream of the centrifugal compression stage, as required, to humidify the hydrogen gas to the pre-determined relative humidity.

Abstract: A multi-stage compressor where the refrigerant is transferred from stage to stage internally. The compressor uses a first stage impeller mounted on a first end of motor shaft and a second stage impeller mounted on a second end of the same motor shaft.
