Abstract:
Provided is an optical information recording medium employing an In-Groove recording system, and having a preferable recording characteristic with a high modulation degree and low jitter characteristics. The medium is comprised of a circular-disk shaped substrate 2 having a through hole at a center portion thereof and a helical guide groove 3 on one surface thereof; a reflective layer 4 formed on the guide groove 3 of the substrate 2; a recording layer 5 formed on the reflective layer 4 and composed of an organic material including a dye; a protection layer 6 provided on the recording layer 5; and a light-transmissive layer 7 formed on the protection layer 6. The recording layer 5 includes an organic dye which is an azo metal complex compound having a structure represented by (Chemical formula 1) and a functional group represented by (Chemical formula 2).
Abstract:
This invention relates to coppered azo dyestuffs containing an alkyl-, aryl or alkoxyalkyl sulfamyl group on one moiety of the molecule and an alkyl-, aryl or alkoxyalkyl ammonium sulfonate or carboxylate group on the other moiety. The invention also relates to various intermediates, to compositions and to processes for preparing the metalized dyestuffs. The compounds are particularly suited for the application in laquers, ink-jet inks and electrographic toners.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A method of directly producing copperized azo-dyestuffs of predetermined inorganic salt content is disclosed wherein an ortho, ortho'-dihydroxyazo-dyestuff is reacted with about one molar equivalent of a copper (II) compound consisting of from 1.0 to 0.1 molar equivalent of a non-salt-forming copper compound selected from CuCO.sub.3.Cu(OH).sub.2, 2CuCO.sub.3.Cu(OH).sub.2, Cu(OH).sub.2, CuO and mixtures thereof, and correspondingly from 0 to 0.9 molar equivalent of a salt-forming copper (II) compound selected from CuSO.sub.4, CuCl.sub.2 and Cu(NO.sub.3).sub.2. The disclosed method provides standard strength copperized dyestuff compositions at increased yields and without the need to precipitate the product from the reaction solution.
Abstract:
Azo dyestuff coupling process in which the amount of excess diazo or coupling component is continuously monitored and the addition of diazo component or coupling component to the reaction is automatically controlled by means of an automatic chemical analyzer which incorporates a dialyzer module, which process is characterized in that azo metal salt pigments derived from sulphonated intermediates can be obtained by precipitating the pigment by adding a water-soluble metal salt to the water-soluble sulphonated azo dyestuff at some stage prior to the passage of the sample stream through the dialyzer.
Abstract:
Metallized azo dyes of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is a sulfonyl, sulfonamido or carboxamido group, D is the residue of a phenol or naphthol, E is the residue of acetoacetanilide, a phenyl or naphthyl pyrazolone or the residue of a naphthol and M is a cation. The dyes are suitable for dyeing natural and synthetic polyamides, demonstrating good all-around fastness properties.
Abstract:
Copper containing monoazo dyestuffs of the general formula ##SPC1##Wherein X is-- SO.sub.2 -- CH.sub.2 -- CH.sub.2 -- Z or-- SO.sub.2 -- CH = CH.sub.2in which Z is hydroxy or an inorganic or organic radical capable of being split off by alkaline agents. The said dyestuffs are easily soluble in water in the form of their alkali metal salts giving blue solutions which may be used for the dyeing or printing of nitrogen containing fibrous materials, materials containing hydroxyl groups or modified polyacrylonitrile fibrous materials, the dyeings obtained on wool or cellulose fibres being distinguished by high tinctorial strength and good fastness properties in general, and in particular to light, to wet processing, to weather, to chlorinated water and to hypochlorite.
