    摘要: The invention concerns a composition for providing a substrate, after said substrate has been coated, with barrier properties to oils and greases, and complementarily to water. The invention is characterised in that it is obtainable by dispersion, at a temperature ranging between room temperature and about 70null C., of at least a film-forming gum or resin, not water-soluble and solubilized in at least a water-miscible solvent, in an aqueous solution containing at least a water soluble and lipophobic film-forming compound selected among proteins, polysaccharides and their mixtures, said composition having a temperature ranging between room temperature and about 70null C. The invention also concerns a method for preparing said composition, kits containing same, and a method for providing a substrate with barrier properties, and their uses, in particular for making packages and particularly packages for foodstuff.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a co-crystallized product and a method of making the product. The product comprises a polyol and a hydrogenated maltodextrin that have been co-crystallized together. The co-crystallization of polyols and hydrogenated maltodextrin according to the invention provides a sweetener product that is sucrose-free, yet has a reduced sensory cooling effect compared to the original polyol(s). The reduced sensory cooling effect is due to an increase of the heat of solution that is observed when polyols are co-crystallized with hydrogenated maltodextrin. Because the product of the invention is a sucrose-free sweetener that does not demonstrate the strong sensory cooling effect typically found with polyol sweeteners, the invention has a wide variety of applications which previously are not available for polyol sweeteners.

The hydrogel includes two interpenetrating matrices: a first matrix which is an acylated, cross-linked protein matrix, and a second matrix which is an anionic polysaccharide matrix.
