摘要: A tube holder supports a spool of flexible line wrapped onto the outer surface of a tube. The tube holder comprises a body portion configured to support the tube thereon, such that the interior surface of the tube rests of the top surface of the body portion; and an end protector detachably secured to the distal end of the body portion via a quick-release, contact fastener. The end protector is configured to be detachably secured to the body portion, while remaining spaced away from the tube such that the tube does not interfere with connecting the end protector with the body portion.

摘要: The subject embodiments are directed to a system to allow an uninterrupted flow of a coil welding wire from one container to another container, the coil of welding wire including a coil top and a coil bottom. Each container includes at least one vertically extending side wall, a closed bottom, a top opening for removing the welding wire and a wire coil receiving cavity within the outer packaging for receiving the wire coil, the feeding end and the trailing end being positionable near the top opening. A wire retaining ring is disposed on the coil top in the container and another said container, the wire retaining ring includes a slot that extends radially from a center of the coil to allow the trailing end of the coil to be drawn at a location away from the center of the coil.

摘要: The invention described relates generally to a method and apparatus for improving existing bulk wire transfer methodologies and more particularly, to welding wire packages for use as an endless wire container such that the welding wire of multiple containers can be linked together to produce an uninterrupted flow of welding wire to a welding operation by employing a welding wire transfer guide, the guide having an outwardly-facing curvilinear groove, one end of said groove of said welding wire transfer guide positioned along a tangent line running between an outer diameter of the in-process coil of wire and an opposed end of said groove along a tangent line running between an inner diameter of the staged coil of welding wire. The apparatus further includes a magnetically positionable wire guide arm above at least two, preferably each bulk welding wire container.

摘要: A creel is provided with two insert pegs that are mounted on a retainer secured to a machine frame that is pivotable between a lower loading station and an upper loading position. The creel also includes a yarn guide element with a longitudinal opening whose length substantially corresponds to the vertical spacing between the axes of the insert pegs such that the ends of the longitudinal opening can be brought into a position lying substantially on the extension of the insert peg axes. Two elongate guide organs are mounted on the side of the yarn guide element and each has a yarn eye opening. The creel further includes a yarn retaining organ located between the insert pegs at a lateral spacing from the plane defined by the insert peg axes and whose retaining force lies under the withdrawal force by which the yarn is drawn off a feed package.

摘要: The present invention relates to a wire selection and feed apparatus for use in an automated machine for making electrical cables. The apparatus includes a rotary turret having a plurality of wire holders angularly spaced about its periphery. The desired wire is selected by rotating the turret until the appropriate wire holder is in the feed, or select, position. The wire holder is then advanced thereby presenting the end of the selected wire to a work station for processing. At this point the wire may be fed a desired amount into the work station by bringing a wire feed until into feeding engagement with the wire.

摘要: A method and apparatus are disclosed for the continuous unwinding of a plurality of packages of strand material in succession without stoppages between packages wherein the strand material is pulled from the inside of the packages. The method involves isolating the outside end of the strand of a first package so that this end cannot become entangled with the strand being withdrawn from the inside. The outside end of the strand of the first package is connected to the inside end of the strand of a second package, and the package is controlled as it is being unwound so that the package will not tend to lift or collapse and thus become entangled with itself near the end of its pay-out to thereby provide a complete pay-out of strand for each package and provide transfer from one package to another. The steps are repeated for each subsequent package. Suitable apparatus for accomplishing this result is also described.

摘要: A method and apparatus for continuously dispensing tape or ribbon from a plurality of coreless rolls of tape is disclosed herein. The apparatus includes a plurality of platforms having feed slots therein, a guide channel above the uppermost platform, motor means for rotating the platforms, and tape position detection means for turning on the motor means to align the tape being transferred to the guide channel with the guide channel. The method includes the steps of generally coaxially positioning coreless rolls of tape at vertically spaced-apart tiers, spirally interconnecting the rolls of tape, pulling the innermost tape end from the uppermost roll upwardly through an overhead guide channel and thereby forming a spiralled feeding tape segment below the guide channel, and rotating the rolls of tape to remove spirals formed in the feeding segment by the continued pulling of the tape through the guide channel.
