摘要： The invention provides a yarn creel apparatus for the control of loose fly or lint formed when yarn is drawn from packages or cones (12) for use in a textile machine. The apparatus comprises a casing (10) within which the cones (12) are arranged on bobbin pins (11), air conduction means in the form of fans (17) to draw air into the casing from the surrounding atmosphere through at least one inlet comprising a filter panel (15) and then generally downwardly over the yarn cones to at least one outlet comprising filter panel(s) (16). The casing also houses yarn guide tubes (14) to guide yarn from the cones (12) upwardly within the casing tubes continuing through the casing wall to lead the yarns away from the apparatus. A self-cleaning version of the apparatus is also disclosed in which the filter panels (15,16) are replaced by an endless band of filter material (18) which is driven by rollers (21) past suction cleaning heads (22,23).

摘要： A creel is used with a winder having a predetermined width and operable to draw in across this width in a normally horizontal longitudinal transport direction a warp of filaments from respective bobbins. The creel comprises a support frame having respective supports for the bobbins and having a pair of generally like sides each provided with a respective half of the supports. The sides are elongated in the transport direction and have downstream ends spaced by at least the winder width, upstream ends more closely spaced, and inner faces turned transversely inward toward each other. Respective deflectors on the inner faces of the support sides guide the filaments inward and transversely of the transport direction from the respective supports and then longitudinally in the transport direction to the winder. The filaments normally run from the deflectors to the winder without touching any substantial guide structure. A spreader is provided at the downstream ends for raising and splitting the warp of filaments for operator access through the split warp to between the sides of the support frame.

摘要： A creel 1 with twisting devices is capable of directly supplying twisted yarns from bobbins carrying non-twisted yarns to a loom or a warper, and of producing not only normal fabric but also a fabric having a low weft density woven at a higher rate or a fabric using hard-twist yarns as warps. A plurality of rotatable spindles 8, each carrying a bobbin 3 on which a non-twisted yarn 2 is wound, are arranged on a frame 18. The yarns 2 withdrawn from the bobbins 3 on the spindles 8 are twisted and arranged to form a yarn sheet 19. The spindles 8 are rotatably secured via bearings to the frame 18 of the creel 1 at the center of a rotary shaft section 8' which is arranged in a horizontal direction. On both ends of the rotary shaft section 8', a section for supporting the bobbin 3 carrying the non-twisted yarn 2 is formed, on which a two-for-one twisting device 21 is provided.

摘要： A creel is provided for a textile machine, the creel including a frame mounted in a C-shaped support structure so as to be pivotal about its vertical central axis. The frame defines four spaces on each of three levels. In each space are pivotally mounted a pair of mutually spaced package support arms which are movable between two operative positions offset towards each side of the space so that a larger diameter reserve package can only be accomodated on one package arm when the in-use package on the other package arm of that pair has been used sufficiently to reduce its diameter significantly. This enables large packages to be used in a creel of lower height than would otherwise be required, to reduce package handling problems. The new package can be put into the creel when the in-use package is of sufficiently small diameter and since both packages are mounted in operative positions transfer of yarn unwinding can be made to the new package on expiry of the in-use package without the attendance of the machine operator.

摘要： A method and system for facilitating a continuous and automated taking-off of yarn from yarn packages. A creel module having one or a plurality of yarn package receiving creel pins disposed in one or more rows is automatically loaded with yarn packages at a loading position. The loaded module is conveyed, optionally through a buffer storage system, to operative association with a stationary creel frame. The module is transferred from the conveying mechanism to the creel frame, and is mounted with respect to the creel frame so that the yarn may be taken off the packages thereof. After the yarn from the module packages has been exhausted, the module is removed from the creel frame and conveyed back to the loading position, while it is replaced with another, loaded, module. Two modules, each with two rows of yarn packages, may be provided at each creeling position on the creel frame, the yarn being taken off each of the packages of each row of each module at the creeling position in succession, and each module when exhausted being replaced by a loaded module.
