摘要: An energy recovery system for a vehicle is presented. The energy recovery system comprises a Kinetic Energy Recovery System, KERS, for connecting to a propulsion shaft of the vehicle, an internal energy storage device configured to receive and store energy from the KERS, and a processing circuitry configured to cause distribution of energy from the internal energy storage device to the propulsion shaft of the vehicle and/or at least one non-propulsion battery for the vehicle based on an energy level of the non-propulsion battery.

摘要: A hybrid power unit of a work machine includes an engine and an energy storage device. The engine includes a crankshaft for driving a load and the crankshaft is attached to an energy storage device via a clutch. The energy storage device can be charged by the engine to store energy, that may be used to provide, when required, a boost to engine performance. The clutch may engage/disengage the energy storage device from the engine and/or control a clutch pressure. The clutch protects the crankshaft from shock loading and can slip to prevent over-torqueing of the crankshaft.

摘要: A transmission for an energy storage and recovery system comprises a variable slip transmission and a clutch arranged to transmit drive while slipping. The level of torque transmitted through the slipping clutch is dependent on the clutch force but is independent of the clutch slip speed. Preferably the clutch is provided by a plurality of clutches connected in parallel in a range extender. When drive is transferred between clutches in parallel, the clutch forces of both clutches are controlled to maintain the total torque transmitted by the clutches. This reduces torque fluctuations at the energy source/sink during clutch transfer. Where there are two slipping clutches in series, one clutch is controlled to provide the required torque and the other clutch is controlled in response to a clutch slip speed. This helps to control the speed of rotation of the mass between the clutches.

The system can also include a roller stop assembly coupled to the output of the electric clutch and constructed to transfer mechanical energy from the output of the electric clutch, and a generator coupled to the roller stop assembly. The system can further include a flywheel coupled to the generator.

摘要: The present invention provides a system and method for economically using compressed air as automobile power source, comprising: a compressed air power device, which includes automobile air storage tubes (1) to store a sufficient amount of high-pressure compressed air and a cylinder-combined engine consisting of the first and second cylinders (9)(10), and which can make full use of the compressed air to produce driving power; a mechanism to produce, store and provide high-pressure compressed air, which includes a boiler-type high-pressure compressed air producing and storing device, abbreviated as boiler-type HCAPS device (4), to be able to use electricity during periods of low energy demand (off-peak) such as at night simultaneously recovering the by-produced heat for central heating, and pressurizing and inflating into the automobile air storage tubes (1) during daytimes; brake energy recovery and regeneration devices, which include a spring reserving-releasing device and/or a compressed air reserving-releasing device to save the compressed air in the automobile air storage tubes (1) for saving the driving power; an inner gear ring assembly, which includes an inner gear ring (2) gearing meshing with inner acting gears (45), with the first and second accelerating gears (72)(92), with a flywheel front inner meshing gear (48) and reset gears (46), for transmitting torque and mixing/outputting power; some clutch transmission devices and a controller, which controls orderly coordinated operation of devices and mechanisms.

摘要: The present invention relates to methods of controlling kinetic energy recovery systems (KERS), to controllers, KERS, drivetrains and vehicles including the KERS and controllers. The KERS comprises an energy storage system. In an embodiment, a vehicle is provided with a first vehicle operating mode wherein the energy storage system has a first target state of charge, and with a second vehicle operating mode wherein the energy storage system has a second target state of charge. The first or second vehicle operating mode is selected and energy is transferred between the energy storage system and the vehicle in order to achieve the target state of charge associated with the selected vehicle operating mode. In other embodiments, the KERS includes a variable power transmission device adapted to transfer energy to and from the energy storage system. The energy storage system is maintained at suitable energy levels for the vehicle's driving conditions.

摘要: An engine-driven vehicle includes an energy recovery system (20) for recovering energy under braking of the vehicle. Under predetermined conditions, a controller selectively delivers recovered energy from a storage (24) via device (26) to motor the engine (12) above zero speed (e.g. at or above idle speed), preferably during engine fuel cut. The engine may be motored if the vehicle speed is below a threshold speed with zero torque demand for the vehicle driveline, or when the vehicle has been brought to a stop, for example. The step of delivering recovered energy to motor the engine (12) may be initiated if a door on the vehicle is opened or if a park brake on the vehicle is activated. Auxiliary systems are driven by the engine under influence of energy delivered from the energy recovery system to the engine when the vehicle is at rest. The energy recovery system may include a mechanical flywheel.
