摘要: A device, method and software are presented for a 5G OpenRAN controller. In one embodiment the 5G OpenRAN controller includes an interface for an EPC virtualization stack; an interface for a radio virtualization stack; a software suite executing on the 5G OpenRAN controller; and wherein the 5G OpenRAN controller virtualizes existing cells into a pool of virtualized resources that can be allocated dynamically and virtualizes multiple cores into a pool of resources for multi-technology RANs and presents them as standard interfaces to a packet core.

摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in which a scheduling entity determines a first direction of a backhaul link traffic between a first scheduling entity and a second scheduling entity, and determines a second direction of an access link traffic between the scheduling entity and a user equipment (UE) based on the first direction of the backhaul link traffic to reduce potential interference caused by the access link traffic. The scheduling entity transmits or receives the access link traffic in the second direction utilizing at least one of a same transmission resource of the backhaul link traffic. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

摘要: Use of available bits in the TEID field of the GTP header to hold information needed to recreate at least a partial state of the session, enough for it to be routed, without waiting for a full state update. The GTP PDU contains the IP Payload with the source and destination IP addresses. The embodiments use that information and the coded TEID bits to provide sufficient routing information so that the packet can be routed without the full state. The TEID is coded to include bits identifying the APN and bits identifying the QCI of the session. A bit can be used to indicate drop if the full state not available. The remaining bits are used to identify unique user sessions. Some of the TEID bits can be encoded with the charging ID. Because sufficient routing information is provided in each packet, a backup gateway does not need to checkpoint.

The processor may further be configured to instruct the UE device to detach based on determining that the identified SMS-IWF device is associated with a link failure; receive a re-attach request from the UE device, in response to instructing the UE device to detach; and assign a functioning SMS-IWF device to the UE device, in response to receiving the re-attach request.

The communication control apparatuses (10) to (12) form a context sharing group that shares subscriber data of the communication terminal. The node apparatus (20) selects a first communication control apparatus in the context sharing group, and transmits a call processing message to the first communication control apparatus. The first communication control apparatus executes the call processing using the subscriber data shared in the context sharing group.

This contributes to, for example, preventing occurrences of signaling involving a mobile terminal when mobility management and bearer management of the mobile terminal in an idle state are transferred between core network nodes.
