摘要: A method for switching between data connections for a mobile communication device is disclosed, the method comprising the steps of establishing both a cellular data connection and a Wi-Fi data connection between the mobile communication device and a server; and concurrently maintaining the cellular data connection and the Wi-Fi data connection. The method further comprises the steps of collecting monitoring data by concurrently monitoring a first ping of the cellular data connection and a second ping of the Wi-Fi data connection; using either the cellular data connection or the Wi-Fi data connection for data communication with the server at any one time; and collecting switching data, the switching data indicative of a frequency of switching. The method further comprises the step of determining at a predetermined time and based on the monitoring data and the switching data whether switching should be performed.

摘要: An apparatus for a wireless network access device includes a first communication interface for wirelessly communicating with a wireless communication device. The apparatus includes a second communication interface for communicating with a network gateway device. The apparatus includes a control module configured to receive a first request for wireless uplink resources from the wireless communication device via the first communication interface. The control module is configured to provide a second request for wired uplink resources to the gateway device via the second communication interface based on the first request for wireless uplink resources. The second request for wired uplink resources is related to uplink resources of a wired uplink channel of the gateway device.

摘要: A system, devices and procedures for providing QoS monitoring in a 5G network are described. The QoS monitoring is per QoS flow per UE or GTP-U path QoS monitoring. A SMF sends a request to a UPF and NG-RAN to report UL/DL packet delay and RTT between the UPF and a UE or an N3 and N9 interface, along with thresholds for reporting the measurements. The UPF sends a report containing the measurements when the threshold is met. The delays include average, minimum and maximum packet delays. The request also indicates a state of QoS monitoring, S-NSSAI and 5QI to monitor, whether event-based/periodic/session release-based QoS monitoring reporting per QoS flow per UE is supported, minimum waiting time between consecutive reports for event-triggered QoS monitoring reporting, and a period to report the measured packet delay.

According to an embodiment, a method for providing a MA PDU service to a UE by a UPF device in a mobile communication system may include receiving an N4 rule including a traffic transmission method for downlinks (DLs) to the UE from an SMF device, wherein the DLs include a DL of 3GPP access and a DL of non-3GPP access; receiving a split ratio change report for UL traffic to the 3GPP access and UL traffic to the non-3GPP access from the UE; generating a traffic counter based on the received split ratio change report; and transmitting the split ratio change report to the SMF device.
