Abstract: Novel tools and techniques might provide for implementing remote application access, and, in some cases, by instantiating an application or service close to the intended recipient or user of the application or service, from a networking perspective. A network might provide connectivity between a first computer and a second computer. A file (comprising an application and data) might be transmitted, over the network, from the first computer. A node in the network, which might be on a path between the first and second computers, might determine that the file contains the application and the data, and, based on such determination, might capture the file (before the second computer can receive it). An instance of the application might be instantiated on a compute surface in the network as a service for the second computer, such that the compute surface can operate on the data with the instance of the application.

Abstract: A method for communicating in real-time to users of a provider of Internet access service, without requiring any installation or set-up by the user, that utilizes the unique identification information automatically provided by the user during communications for identifying the user to provide a fixed identifier which is then communicated to a redirecting device. Messages may then be selectively transmitted to the user. The system is normally transparent to the user, with no modification of its content along the path. Content then may be modified or replaced along the path to the user. For the purposes of establishing a reliable delivery of bulletin messages from providers to their users, the system forces the delivery of specially-composed World Wide Web browser pages to the user, although it is not limited to that type of data.

Abstract: In one example, the encoding rate at which data is delivered over a network is estimated by intercepting a data packet from a data streaming session, wherein the data packet contains at least a portion of one of a plurality of file segments containing portions of a file, and wherein a number of the plurality of file segments that is delivered via the data streaming session is limited to a maximum number. The mean size of the plurality of file segments is estimated from data contained in the data packet. A plurality of potential sizes of the plurality of file segments is calculated, wherein each potential size corresponds to one number between one and the maximum number. An encoding rate of the data streaming session is calculated, based at least in part on which potential size of the plurality of potential sizes is closest to the mean size.

Abstract: A method for controlling, in a communications network, recommendation messages exchanged during a session between a first endpoint, referred to as a source entity, and a second endpoint, referred to as a receiving entity. The messages are exchanged via a tube grouping data packets of a communication protocol with no guarantee of the delivery of the data packets. Abstract: A method and system architecture for automation and alarm systems is provided. The system architecture is hierarchically organized, allowing devices to process system data differently at different levels of the hierarchy. Abstract: A system includes a messaging system server to interface with Internet of Thing (IoT) devices operating with different messaging protocols. Abstract: The present application discloses a method and apparatus for publishing a cloud resource. The method includes: receiving, by a first application (APP), a usage request for a cloud resource stored in a second APP; calling, according to the usage request, an APP service page containing the cloud resource, for a user to select a to-be-used cloud resource in the APP service page; receiving address information of the to-be-used cloud resource sent by the APP service page; and publishing the to-be-used cloud resource according to the address information of the to-be-used cloud resource. By means of the technical solution of the present application, a to-be-used cloud resource can be published into a first APP rapidly and conveniently. Abstract: A system designed for increasing network communication speed for users, while lowering network congestion for content owners and ISPs. The system employs network elements including an acceleration server, clients, agents, and peers, where communication requests generated by applications are intercepted by the client on the same machine. The IP address of the server in the communication request is transmitted to the acceleration server, which provides a list of agents to use for this IP address. The communication request is sent to the agents. One or more of the agents respond with a list of peers that have previously seen some or all of the content which is the response to this request (after checking whether this data is still valid). The client then downloads the data from these peers in parts and in parallel, thereby speeding up the Web transfer, releasing congestion from the Web by fetching the information from multiple sources, and relieving traffic from Web servers by offloading the data transfers from them to nearby peers.
