摘要: At a cell manager external to a network-accessible service, a set of data associated with a first isolated cell of the service is obtained. Service requests representing respective subsets of the workload of the service are processed at respective cells, with each cell comprising a number of request processing nodes. The cell manager analyzes the set of data, and initiates a configuration change at the first isolated cell based on results of the analysis.

摘要: A method of routing a packet in a network is described. The network includes a plurality of nodes implementing Information Centric Networking (ICN) routing or content centric networking and routing. The method includes receiving the packet at a node implementing ICN routing, the packet comprising an Internet Protocol (IP) header and a packet payload, wherein the packet comprises a request packet for requesting content from the network. The method further includes extracting from the packet payload a content identifier for the requested content and forwarding the packet to a next hop node in the network based on the content identifier extracted from the packet payload.

摘要: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for communicating policy changes in a Locator/ID Separation Protocol (LISP) based network deployment include receiving, at a first routing device, a first notification from a map server, the first notification indicating a change in a policy for LISP based communication between at least a first endpoint device and at least a second endpoint device, the first endpoint device being connected to a network fabric through the first routing device and the second endpoint device being connected to the network fabric through a second routing device. The first routing device forwards a second notification to the second routing device if one or more entries of a first map cache implemented by the first routing device are affected by the policy change, the second notification indicating a set of one or more endpoints connected to the second routing device that are affected by the policy change.

摘要: A method of delivering content in one or more packets over a network is described. A content request packet comprising a request for content based on a first IPv6 address is received, the first IPv6 address identifying the content. The first IPv6 address is mapped to a second IPv6 address, the second IPv6 address being associated with the content at a physical location. The content requested in the content request packet is then received from the physical location associated with the second IPv6 address for delivery to a user. A further method includes routing a packet for requesting the content from a client to a content server storing an instant of the content, based on an IPv6 address of content being requested by the client. A communication session is then set up between the client and the content server; and the requested content is transmitted from the content server.

摘要: A packet processing method and apparatus are presented. The method includes: generating, by a first node, a first packet based on first data of the first node, where the packet header of the first packet includes a service type, a final destination address, and residual times to aggregation (RTA); when the RTA of the first packet is not 0, determining, by the first node, a remaining capacity in a first cache corresponding to the service type and the final destination address; and when a data length of the first packet is not greater than the remaining capacity, aggregating, by the first node, the first packet and the second packet into a third packet, where the RTA of the third packet is a minimum value in the RTA of the second packet and a value obtained after 1 is subtracted from the RTA of the first packet.

摘要: A method and a router device for managing memory for network overlay routes with fallback route support prioritization may be provided. A network overlay route as a candidate network overlay route may be obtained at a router for storage in a memory. The memory may store a plurality of network overlay routes for forwarding user plane traffic in a network. An assessment for storage of the candidate network overlay route based on a priority level indicator of the candidate network overlay route may be performed. The priority level indicator may be indicative of a fallback route support level of the candidate network overlay route in the router. Based on the assessment, at least one of the following may be performed: adding the candidate network overlay route to the memory and refraining from adding the candidate network overlay route to the memory.

摘要: A method, apparatus, switch, device for packet forwarding and storage medium are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining a packet to be forwarded; detecting whether a first data table contains connection cache information corresponding to the packet; obtaining a first identifier of the connection cache information from the first data table if the first data table contains the connection cache information corresponding to the packet; obtaining connection information corresponding to the connection cache information from a second data table, and determining a second identifier of the connection cache information, wherein the second identifier is a current connection identifier corresponding to the connection cache information and changes when the connection information changes; and forwarding the packet based on the connection cache information if the second identifier is the same as the first identifier. The method for packet forwarding according an embodiment of the present application can reduce errors in packet forwarding.

In an embodiment, to select the best path, the available paths can be monitored to understand the performance of specific applications through those paths. Subsequently, the performance data is used to derive an application link score (ALS) for any given combination of application and path. The ALS is then be used to determine the best path for a given application.
