Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a probe request and response technology between a station and a plurality of access point multi-link devices (AP MLDs). During implementation of this application, a station may obtain communication parameters of a plurality of APs of one or more AP MLDs by sending one probe request frame, to obtain communication parameters of the AP MLD on a plurality of links, thereby efficiently implementing association between the station and the AP MLD or establishing multi-link transmission between the station and the AP MLD.

Abstract: In some implementations, a device may determine one or more parameters for filtering network traffic of a network that includes a plurality of virtual packet brokers provided for a plurality of cloud random access networks and a plurality of traffic aggregation points. The device may provide the one or more parameters to the plurality of virtual packet brokers, to cause the plurality of virtual packet brokers to filter the network traffic to obtain network visibility traffic. The device may receive, from one or more probes of a session aggregation point of the network, one or more metrics calculated based on the network visibility traffic by the plurality of virtual packet brokers. The device may determine one or more actions to be implemented based on the one or more metrics. The device may cause the one or more actions to be implemented in the network.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for identifying bogon addresses. A system can obtain an indication of address spaces in a network. The indication can be based on route advertisements transmitted by routers associated with the network. The system can receive a report generated by a capturing agent deployed on a host. The report can identify a flow captured by the capturing agent at the host. The system can identify a network address associated with the flow and, based on the indication of address spaces, the system can determine whether the network address is within the address spaces in the network. When the network address is not within the address spaces in the network, the system can determine that the network address is a bogon address. When the network address is within the address spaces in the network, the system can determine that the network address is not a bogon address.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method of a burst-based route discovery process. The method includes sending a probing interest packet to an NDN network; when one NDN forwarder receives the probing interest packet from a corresponding face, sending the probing interest packet to neighboring NDN forwarders; after anyone NDN forwarder receives the probing interest packet, sending back a burst of K probing data packets; as the burst of K probing data packets being received by an NDN forwarder, evaluating gaps between arrival times of the burst of K probing data packets; determining an available network throughput level of a face of the NDN forwarder; and if determined available network throughput level indicates a predefined increase in network throughput, setting the face of the NDN forwarder as a face for forwarding interest packets; and sending the burst of K probing data packets to neighboring NDN forwarders.

Abstract: Techniques for optimizing technologies related to network path tracing and network delay measurements are described herein. Some of the techniques may include using an IPv6 header option and/or segment identifier field of a segment list or a TLV of a segment routing header as a telemetry data carrier. The techniques may also include using an SRv6 micro-segment (uSID) instruction to indicate to a node of a network that the node is to perform one or more path tracing actions and encapsulating the packet and forward. Additionally, the techniques may include using short interface identifiers corresponding to node interfaces to trace a packet path through a network. Further, the techniques may include using short timestamps to determine delay measurements associated with sending a packet through a network. In various examples, the techniques described above and herein may be used with each other to optimize network path tracing and delay measurement techniques.

Abstract: Techniques for providing an optimized behavior to source node(s) of a path tracing sequence allowing for implementation of path tracing source node behavior on an ASIC with edit-depth limitations and/or on an ASIC that does not have access to the full 64-bit timestamp. A source node having optimized behavior may be configured to record a first full 64-bit timestamp in an SRH PT-TLV header of a probe packet using the CPU of the source node. A source node having the optimized behavior may also be configured to compute a midpoint compressed data (MCD) entry and record the entry into an MCD stack of a probe packet using the NPU of the source node. A sink node and/or network controller may be configured to determine a final timestamp for the probe packet through the network by leveraging the SRH PT-TLV header and the MCD entry.

Abstract: With exponential growth in virtualized traffic within physical data centers, many end users (e.g., individuals and enterprises) have begun moving work processes and data to cloud computing platforms. A visibility platform can be used to monitor virtualized traffic traversing a cloud computing platform, such as Amazon Web Services, VMware, or OpenStack. But it can be difficult to manage how the visibility platform handles incoming virtualized traffic. Introduced here, therefore, are graphs that visually represent the network fabric of a visibility platform. When the network fabric of the visibility platform is represented as a graph, an end user can easily modify the network fabric, for example, by adding, removing, or modifying nodes that represent network objects, adding, removing, or modifying connections between pairs of nodes that represent traffic flows between pairs of network objects, etc.

Abstract: A system generates a probe packet including a probe flag and transmits the probe packet through a network tunnel to a destination computing system. The system receives from the destination computing system through the network tunnel an acknowledgment packet indicating receipt of the probe packet with the probe flag by the destination computing system. The system determines whether the transmitted probe packet and the received acknowledgment packet satisfy a packet loss condition.
