Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatic configuration management of a network are provided. The apparatus and method may provide a virtualization system that has an inventory that includes physical resources and virtual assets managed by a virtualization layer running on the physical resources; wherein virtual assets are software instantiations of computer systems, receive a virtual asset provisioning request that specifies parameters to be considered for the virtual asset provisioning request and receive data on inventory available in the virtualization system. The apparatus and method may automatically provision a particular virtual asset to a particular physical resource in the virtualization system that matches the parameters in the virtual asset provisioning request, assign the provisioned virtual asset to the virtual asset provisioning request and provide user access to the provisioned virtual asset.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for deploying network elements for a set of machines in a set of one or more datacenters. The datacenter set is part of one availability zone in some embodiments. The method receives intent-based API (Application Programming Interface) requests, and parses these API requests to identify a set of network elements to connect and/or perform services for the set of machines. In some embodiments, the API is a hierarchical document that can specify multiple different compute and/or network elements at different levels of compute and/or network element hierarchy. The method performs automated processes to define a virtual private cloud (VPC) to connect the set of machines to a logical network that segregates the set of machines from other machines in the datacenter set. In some embodiments, the set of machines include virtual machines and containers, the VPC is defined with a supervisor cluster namespace, and the API requests are provided as YAML files.

Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for custom-defined network routing. In one implementation, a set of custom defined network flow rules is received at an edge router of a primary network, which is in communication with a customer network. The set of custom defined network flow rules correspond to network traffic associated with the customer network. The set of custom defined network flow rules is stored in a forwarding table on the edge router. A packet of data is received at the edge router. The packet of data is attributed to the customer network. The set of custom defined network flow rules is applied to the pack of data using the forwarding table.

Abstract: A technology is described for operating a multi-tiered data processing service. An example method may include receiving a data rule set used to process data generated by a network addressable device included in a multi-tiered data processing service having computing nodes that are connected using one or more networks, where the computing nodes may have computing capacities to execute a portion of the data rule set using a rules engine. A computing node included in the multi-tiered processing service may be selected to host a portion of the data rule set on the computing node and a portion of the data rule set may be deployed to the computing node, where the data rule set may be registered with the rules engine that executes on the computing node and data generated by the network addressable device may be processed using the rules engine and the data rule set.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer-readable media for ensuring that one or more compliance information bundles associated with one or more end-point identifiers maintain compliance with one or more regulations. It is detected that a rules engine has been updated with a new regulation. Based on an identification that one or more compliance information bundles associated with the one or more end-point identifiers will not be compliant with the new regulation after an expiration of a grace period associated with the new regulation, a status associated with each one or more compliance information bundles is changed to a provisionally-approved status. The changing of the status associated with each of the one or more compliance information bundles to the provisionally-approved status causes each of the one or more compliance information bundles to be treated, temporarily like the status of each the one or more compliance information bundles is an approved status.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention adapt interconnect systems to apply automated rules and analytics to the Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (“AAA”) messages between providers that are handled by the interconnect system. The automated rules and analytics interpret or convert the administrative messages into a measure of technical performance of the visited network in relation to a corresponding home network provider. As part of this process, the system establishes a procedure that matches messages involving a device to be related and produces a data structure and corresponding data that is stored and reflects the performance or other salient data points. The structure of the data is set of extracted and calculated data that is derived from the messages and is assembled to reflect operation at the level of each administrative messaging session, involving a request to the home network provider to join a visited network.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing network application programming interface (“API”), and, more particularly, API to provide network metrics and network resource control to users. In some embodiments, a computing system might receive customer network telemetry data from a first network via a gateway API, might receive service provider network telemetry data from a second network(s) via a network API, might compile the customer network telemetry data and the service provider network telemetry data, might receive a request from a user to access information regarding network services associated with the user, might filter the compiled customer network telemetry data and the compiled service provider network telemetry data to isolate first telemetry data and second telemetry data, respectively, might provide the user with access to at least one of the first telemetry data or the second telemetry data, and might provide the user with options to control network resources.
