    Abstract: An electromagnetic relay includes an electromagnet device, a contactor, and a trip device turning the contactor into an open state in which the contactor opens when an abnormal current flows. The electromagnet device includes a first excitation coil, a fixed element, first and second movable elements, and a permanent magnet. The contactor includes a fixed contact and a movable contact. In the electromagnetic relay, while the permanent magnet causes the first movable element to attractingly contact the second movable element, the fixed element attracts the first movable element due to a magnetic flux generated by the first excitation coil so as to move the second movable element together with the first movable element from a normal position to an attracted position. In the contactor, the movable contact moves, as the second movable element moves, so as to switch between a closed state in which the movable contact contacts the fixed contact and the open state in which the movable contact is removed from the fixed contact. The contactor is turned into the closed state when the second movable element is located at the attracted position. The trip device includes a second excitation coil connected in series to the contactor and a spring for acting a force on the second movable element in a direction away from the first movable element.

    Abstract: In a main magnetic circuit, first pulling force generated based on a first component of the magnetic flux flowing through the main magnetic path pulls a movable core in a reciprocation direction of the movable core. The first pulling force increases with a reduction of a dimension of the gap. In an auxiliary magnetic circuit, second pulling force generated based on the second component of the magnetic flux flowing through the auxiliary magnetic path pulls the movable core in the reciprocation direction of the movable core. In the auxiliary magnetic circuit, the second pulling force with the dimension of the gap being within a first range is changed to be higher than the second pulling force with the dimension of the gap being within a second range, the second range being smaller than the first range.

    Abstract: The electromagnetic contactor includes a contact mechanism including a pair of fixed contacts disposed to maintain a predetermined interval and a movable contact disposed so as to connect to and separate from the pair of fixed contacts, and an electromagnet unit that drives the movable contact. The electromagnet unit includes a magnetic yoke enclosing a plunger drive portion, a movable plunger, a leading end thereof protruding through an aperture formed in the magnetic yoke and a peripheral flange portion being formed on a protruding end side, movement regulating portions that regulate movement of the peripheral flange portion of the movable plunger in an engaged position and released position of the contact mechanism, and a contact noise suppression member that suppresses contact noise when the peripheral flange portion of the movable plunger contacts the movement regulating portions.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic contactor has a contact device including a pair of fixed contacts disposed maintaining a predetermined distance and a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts. The pair of fixed contacts each includes a support conductor portion supported by an upper plate of a contact housing case, and a contact conductor portion connected to an end portion of the support conductor portion.     Abstract: An electromagnetic contactor has a pair of fixed contacts; a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting with and separating from the pair of fixed contacts; and an electromagnetic unit driving the movable contact.
