摘要: RFID tag RFIC modules are provided with each module including an RFIC, an antenna connection first electrode, an antenna connection second electrode, an RFIC connection first electrode, an RFIC connection second electrode, an impedance matching circuit that matches impedance between the RFIC and an antenna, and a rectangular substrate. A first coil and a second coil of the impedance matching circuit are juxtaposed in/on the substrate, and a straight line passing through center of gravity of the coil opening of the first coil and center of gravity of the coil opening of the second coil is inclined with respect to one side of the substrate, and directions of this inclination are different between the first RFIC module and the second RFIC module.

摘要: An antenna comprises: a first terminal; a second terminal; and a winding, having an inductance, comprising a plurality of turns and connected between the first and second terminals such that a change in magnetic flux linking the winding generates a corresponding voltage between said terminals. The winding comprises a conductive element connected to the first and second terminals and extending around said turns from the first terminal to the second terminal and having a thickness not exceeding X μm along a length of the conductive element from the first to the second terminal and a width not exceeding X μm along said length, where X is less than or equal to 10, whereby said conductive element is substantially non-visible to a naked human eye.

摘要: A thermal scale radio frequency label which includes a top layer of thermal paper of 20-60 lb weight with an RF antenna mounted on the thermal paper. The RF antenna includes a single turn inductor coil having a width of not less than 5 mm and not more than 13 mm. The inductor coil has a thickness in the range of 30-60 um and covers an area of at least 55×49 mm. A capacitative layer is provided having a thickness in the range of 30-60 um. A dielectric layer is positioned between the capacitative layer and the inductor coil. A plurality of electrical connections are provided between the capacitative layer and the inductor coil. The electrical connections are capable of being deactivated by RF energy.

摘要: A radio IC device includes an electromagnetic coupling module includes a radio IC chip arranged to process transmitted and received signals and a feed circuit board including an inductance element. The feed circuit board includes an external electrode electromagnetically coupled to the feed circuit, and the external electrode is electrically connected to a shielding case or a wiring cable. The shielding case or the wiring cable functions as a radiation plate. The radio IC chip is operated by a signal received by the shielding case or the wiring, and the answer signal from the radio IC chip is radiated from the shielding case or the wiring cable to the outside. A metal component functions as the radiation plate, and the metal component may be a ground electrode disposed on the printed wiring board.

摘要: In a smart card having an antenna structure and a metal layer, an insulator layer is formed between the antenna structure and the metal layer to compensate for the attenuation due to the metal layer. The thickness of the insulator layer affects the capacitive couplilng between the antenna structure and the metal layer and is selected to have a value which optimizes the transmission/reception of signals between the card and a card reader.
