Abstract:
A functional micromechanical timepiece assembly including at least a first component, including a first layer defining a first contact surface configured to come into friction contact with a second contact surface defined by a second layer, the second layer belonging, either to the first component, or to at least a second micromechanical component forming the assembly with the first component. The first and second layers each include carbon with at least 50% carbon atoms and, on the first and second contact surfaces, the layers have different surface crystalline plane orientations from each other.
Abstract:
Watch or watch movement comprising a regulating member and a display mechanism for displaying time data from the movement. The watch or watch movement also comprises a hydraulic system using oil or liquid to transmit forces and/or to lubricate the mechanism.
Abstract:
The first lubricating oil composition of the invention comprises a polyol ester (A) as a base oil, a specific amount of a viscosity index improver (B) and a specific amount of an anti-wear agent (C), and the second lubricating oil composition of the invention comprises a paraffinic hydrocarbon oil (F) having at least 30 carbon atoms and a specific amount of a viscosity index improver (B), so that these compositions exert effects that they enable a life of watch battery to last long, they enable a watch to operate in the temperature range of null30 to 80null C. with one kind of a lubricating oil, and they are free from change of properties over a long period of time. The third lubricating oil composition of the invention comprises an ether oil (G) as a base oil, a specific amount of an anti-wear agent (C) comprising a neutral phosphoric ester and/or a neutral phosphorous ester, and an antioxidant (E), so that this composition is free from change of properties over a long period of time and is favorable as a watch lubricating oil. The watch of the invention is a watch having a movable portion for which at least one composition selected from the above compositions is used.
Abstract:
A disk reproducing apparatus is provided which can cope with the intermittent access due to track jump in the conventional CD reproducing system and which can reproduce data at N times the normal speed and produce the reproduced data at the normal speed. The disk reproducing apparatus includes a memory for storing the data and time information reproduced from the disk to match with each other, another external memory, a detection circuit detecting the time difference between the finally produced output data and the data which is being accessed, and a control circuit detecting the overflow/underflow of the external memory and controlling it to be written. The construction can absorb the time difference between the system operation speed and data output speed even during an intermittent access so that continuous data can be produced.

Abstract:
A metal chalcogenide coating, in particular of molybdenum sulphide, is deposited on a substrate by high speed cathode sputtering. This coating is turbostratic and has an unusually high resistance to wear produced by frictional forces.
