摘要: The present invention relates to a composition for diagnosing the susceptibility of Staphylococcus aureus to antibiotics, and a use thereof. Particularly, it has been ascertained that sosA is a marker specific to Staphylococcus aureus, and that the expression level of sosA is exhibited similarly to antibiotic susceptibility/resistance properties so as to be usable as a means for diagnosing the susceptibility/resistance of Staphylococcus aureus to antibiotics, and the present invention diagnoses the susceptibility/resistance of Staphylococcus aureus present in samples to antibiotics by using antibodies specifically binding to protein SosA, and thus provides, as a means for diagnosing the susceptibility of Staphylococcus aureus to antibiotics, a composition containing an agent for measuring the mRNA expression level of the sosA gene or an agent for measuring the expression level of the SosA protein.

摘要: A bio-sensor device for the electro-chemical detection of a bacterial pathogen, the device including a sample chamber and an electronic data module. The sample chamber includes electrical probes to detect pathogenic antigens in a sample containing the bacterial pathogen. The electrical probes detect a reaction voltage corresponding to an antigen-antibody reaction occurring when the pathogenic antigens come into contact with an antibody specific for pathogenic antigens present in a reaction medium in the sample chamber and contacted by the electrical probes. The electronic data module detects and processes electrical signals from the conductive electrical probes corresponding to an amount of the antigen present in the sample, wherein the reaction voltage is detected at the time of the reaction.

摘要: A subtractive immunoassay for detecting the presence or absence of first and second analytes in a sample includes in the following order the steps of: a) conjugating a first detector antibody to the first analyte to tag the first analyte with a first detector tag; b) conjugating a first capture antibody to the first analyte to capture the first analyte to completely deplete the first analyte from the sample; c) conjugating a second detector antibody to the second analyte in the depleted sample to tag the second analyte with a second detector tag; d) conjugating a second capture antibody to the second analyte to capture the second analyte from the sample; e) detecting presence or absence of the first and second detector tags at the site of the first and second capture antibody, respectively, and thereby detecting the presence or absence of the first and second analytes in the sample.

摘要: This invention provides a method for easily collecting antigens possessed by microorganisms without the use of special equipment. The method for collecting microbial antigens comprises: allowing a specimen containing microorganisms to pass through a filter membrane with a pore diameter that does not allow microorganisms to pass therethrough; capturing the microorganisms in the specimen on the filter membrane; applying a microbial destruction reagent capable of microbial membrane destruction to the filter membrane comprising the microorganisms captured thereon to destruct the captured microorganisms on the filter membrane; and collecting antigens in the filtrate.
