摘要: A system includes a waste heat recovery heat exchanger configured to heat a heating fluid stream by exchange with a heat source in a crude oil associated gas processing plant; and a modified Goswami energy conversion system. The modified Goswami energy conversion system includes a first group of heat exchangers configured to heat a first portion of a working fluid by exchange with the heated heating fluid stream; and a second group of heat exchangers configured to heat a second portion of the working fluid. The modified Goswami energy conversion system includes a rectifier configured to receive the heated first and second portions of the working fluid and a third portion of the working fluid and to output an overhead discharge stream and a liquid stream, the third portion of the working fluid being at a lower temperature than the heated first and second portions of the working fluid. The modified Goswami energy conversion system includes a cooling subsystem including one or more cooling elements configured to cool a chilling fluid stream by exchange with the overhead discharge stream; and a turbine configured to generate power from the liquid stream of the working fluid.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a fracturing unit for hydraulic fracturing having an engine and a fracturing pump connected to the engine through a variable speed torque converter. Also disclosed is a hydraulic fracturing system using multiple fracturing units which are sized similar to ISO containers. A hydraulic fracturing system may also force flow back water, produced water, or fresh water through a heat exchanger so that heat from the fracturing engines can be transferred to these liquids in order to vaporize them. A force cooled fractioning unit then can accept the vapor/steam in order to condense the various components and produce distilled water for re-use in the fracturing process or for release into the environment.

摘要: A system for reducing buildup of solids in pipes used in underwater oil operations is disclosed. The system includes an annular pipe having an inner pipe wall and an outer pipe wall. The inner pipe wall defines an inner pipe configured to transport an oil. The outer pipe wall is displaced from the inner pipe wall. The outer pipe wall defines an outer pipe between the outer pipe wall and the inner pipe wall. The system includes an oxidizer delivery pipe having an oxidizer delivery outlet. The oxidizer delivery pipe is configured to supply an oxidizer to the outer pipe. The system further includes a fuel delivery pipe having a fuel delivery outlet. The fuel delivery pipe is configured to supply a fuel to the outer pipe. The oxidizer and the fuel release thermal energy in an exothermic reaction.

摘要: Systems and methods of hydrotreating different naphtha feed stocks destined for a refining reforming unit and other applications with less energy consumption than conventionally possible, while producing less greenhouse gas emissions, and/or using a lesser number of heaters and correspondingly less capital investment in such heaters, air coolers, and water coolers, are provided. According to the more examples of such systems and methods, such reductions are accomplished by directly integrating a naphtha stripping process section with a naphtha splitting process section. Additional reductions can also be accomplished through directly integrating a naphtha hydrotreat reaction process section with the naphtha stripping process section.

摘要: Piggable plate heat exchanger assemblies enable piggable cleaning of interior surfaces thereof. Piggable plate heat exchanger assemblies include an inner plate member and first and second channel forming members with adjacently positioned first and second channel forming extension plates to enclose the inner plate member to form first and second channels for first and second fluid flow. Other piggable plate heat exchanger assemblies include plate members and first and second end members in conjunction with corresponding plate members positioned at first and second ends of corresponding plate members to form first and bypass channels to flow first and second fluids. Still other piggable plate heat exchangers include a plurality of plate members and a plurality of end members forming in conjunction with the plate members a first channel and a second channel in an interweaving relation for flow of a first fluid substantially normal to flow of a second fluid.

摘要: A quench-cooling system has a primary quench cooler (10) as a double-tube heat exchanger, a tube bundle heat exchanger as a secondary quench cooler (20). A tube bundle is enclosed by a casing (32), forming a casing room (36), which is formed between tube sheets (28) arranged at spaced locations. Bundle tubes (29) are held with the tube sheets. Parallel cooling channels (27) connected with one another and have a rectangular tunnel geometry formed (I) from the thin tube sheet (28), separating a gas side from a water/steam side and connected to a ring flange (35), which is connected to the casing of the enclosed tube bundle; (ii) from parallel webs (33), arranged on the tube sheet separating individual water/steam flows from one another; and (iii) from a covering sheet (34), provided with openings (18) for bundle tubes and defining the flow in the tunnel arrangement of the cooling channels.

A fluid flow through a cooling pipe in the proximity of the gas pipe or pushed towards the gas pipe by a fan cools the fluid. An electric heater disposed inside the heat transfer block close to the gas pipe may heat the fluid flowing therein via radiated heat.

摘要: Provided is a bimetallic tube for transport of hydrocarbon feedstocks in a petrochemical process unit and/or refinery process unit, including: i) an outer tube layer being formed from a steam cracker alloy including at least 18.0 wt. % Cr and at least 10.0 wt. % Ni; ii) an inner tube layer being formed from an alumina forming bulk alloy including 5.0 to 10.0 wt. % of Al, 18.0 wt. % to 25.0 wt. % Cr, less than 0.5 wt. % Si, and at least 35.0 wt. % Fe with the balance being Ni, wherein the inner tube layer is formed plasma powder welding the alumina forming bulk alloy on the inner surface of the outer tube layer; and iii) an oxide layer formed on the surface of the inner tube layer, wherein the oxide layer is substantially comprised of alumina, chromia, silica, mullite, spinels, or mixtures thereof.
