The cooling tube may be connected to the manifolds such that (1) liquid coolant can flow from the first liquid manifold through the cooling tube to the second liquid manifold, and (2) the cooling tube can be rotated relative to the first and second liquid manifolds around a longitudinal axis of the cooling tube. The cooling tube may have an oblong cross-sectional profile.

The thermal expansion joint is located on an end portion of the core plate, and includes a wall part, which an end portion of the side plate in the longitudinal direction is brazed with, and a bent part, which is configured to be deformed to allow the thermal expansion joint to have flexibility between the side plate and the core plate.

摘要: A tube sheet assembly for a heat exchanger is disclosed. The tube sheet assembly includes a plastic sheet having multiple tube-retention holes defined therein and a metal plate having multiple holes defined therein, each hole being substantially coaxial with a corresponding tube-retention hole of the plastic sheet. The metal plate is connected to the plastic sheet. The metal plate can be fabricated of, for example, steel or other metals. The plastic sheet can be fabricated of, for example, nylon, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, or polytetrafluoroethylene. Tubes can be disposed in the tube-retention holes of the plastic sheet and the holes of the metal plate. In an example, the tube-retention holes of the plastic sheet have a smaller diameter than the holes of the metal plate and the tubes contact the plastic sheet without contacting the metal plate.

摘要: An exhaust gas heat exchanger, in particular for use in a motor vehicle, having at least one first flow channel that conducts a first fluid, which first flow channel is accommodated in respective tube sheets at end areas of the first flow channel. A housing surrounds the first flow channel and forms a second flow channel for a second fluid that flows through the housing and flows around the first flow channel. Pipe sheets are inserted into the housing such that the first flow channel is sealed off from the second flow channel. A first diffuser conducts the first fluid into the first flow channel and a second diffuser conducts the first fluid out of the first flow channel. A first shielding element has a first passage and a first spacing element is placed onto a tube sheet from the side facing away from the first flow channel.

The tube plate of the collection box is made of plastic and is injection molded onto the heat exchanger block. A spacer element through which the tubes are guided is arranged between the tube plate of the collection box and the heat exchanger block, and the corrugated rib elements are spaced from the tube plate of the collection box by the spacer. The invention further relates to a method for producing a heat exchanger.

The heat exchanger (40) provides a first plurality of tubes (50) and a second plurality of flow passages (52) which furcate near one of the first (42) and second (44) manifolds into two or more furcated flow passages and subsequently converge to exit the heat exchanger. The plurality of furcated flow passages are intertwined, reducing the distance between flow passages (50,52) containing each fluid therebetween to improve thermal transfer. Further, the furcations create changes of direction of the fluid to re-establish new thermal boundary layers within the flow passages to further reduce resistance to thermal transfer.

摘要: The present invention is a cross-flow evaporator adapted to generate vapor from the heat of the exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine. The evaporator is constituted, among other elements, by two plates spaced from one another which contain chambers. The heat exchange tubes alternately communicate the chambers of both plates, establishing a specific path for the fluid intended to change phase. The tubes extending between the chambers of the two plates are arranged transverse to the flow of the hot gas. This evaporator is suitable for heat recovery systems using a Rankine cycle, making use of the heat from the exhaust gases.The invention is characterized by a special configuration of the walls which prevents the crack failure or damage caused as a result of the differential expansion between the exchange tubes and said walls.

A tube sheet construction that includes a plurality of separate thin tube sheet segments, multiple holes being provided in each sheet in a predetermined pattern, each hole for accommodating a tube sheet filter tube, all of the tube sheet segments being aligning so that the hole pattern of each sheet aligns, and fasteners for securing all of the tube sheet segments together. A media layer is provided between adjacent sheet segments.
