    摘要: A header for a high-pressure heat exchanger includes a first high-pressure transition section with inlets for multiple first high-pressure flow channels that are spaced from one another in a radial direction and collectively arranged in a substantially circular shape. The inlets for the multiple first high-pressure flow channels on a radially outer edge of the first high-pressure transition section are spaced further apart in a circumferential direction from adjacent inlets of the multiple first high-pressure flow channels than radially inward inlets are spaced from adjacent radially inward inlets of the multiple first high-pressure flow channels. The header also includes multiple first high-pressure flow channels extending from the first high-pressure transition section to a second-high pressure transition section that is configured to divide each of the multiple first high-pressure flow channels into at least two first high-pressure sub-flow channels.

    摘要: A heat exchanger includes a housing that includes an inlet for receiving bulk solids and an outlet for discharging the bulk solids. A first heat transfer plate bank is disposed between the inlet and the outlet. The first heat transfer plate bank includes a plurality of horizontally spaced apart, substantially parallel heat transfer plates for cooling the bulk solids that flow from the inlet, through spaces between adjacent plates. A second heat transfer plate bank is disposed between the first bank and the outlet. The second bank includes plurality of horizontally spaced apart, substantially parallel heat transfer plates for cooling or heating the bulk solids that flow from the spaces between adjacent plates of the first bank, through spaces between adjacent plates of the second bank, to the outlet. The plates of the second bank are horizontally offset from the plates of the first bank such that the plates of the second bank are not in vertically aligned with the plates of the first bank.

    摘要: A heat exchanger is provided including a plurality of parallel stacked plates defining at least one flow passage there between. A manifold having a generally hollow interior is arranged adjacent the plurality of parallel plates. An opening is disposed between adjacent stacked plates. The opening is configured to fluidly couple the hollow interior of the manifold and the at least one flow passage. A distributor assembly including an insert is disposed at least partially within the hollow interior of the manifold. The insert includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced axial flow channels and a plurality of radial connecting channels arranged in fluid communication with the axial flow channels. The radial flow channels are fluidly coupled to the at least one flow passage via the opening.

    摘要: Disclosed is an enclosure wall assembly of a type which can be used to cool electronic equipment, the electronic equipment characterized by having a rail comprising a thermally conductive surface which is cooled by its installation into a cooled enclosure. The described enclosure wall comprises channels whose cooled surfaces can be cooled by coolant flowing through a coolant guide in thermal contact with each surface. Configurations of coolant guides with fins or pins are described as are coolant guides which enable mission critical cooling via redundant cooling flows. Also disclosed is a method and apparatus for controlling the temperature of coolant supplied to cooled enclosure apparatus in a data center environment. The described coolant delivery system comprising inner and outer pipework separated by a mixing valve, the mixing valve being operable to allow coolant from the outer portion to mix with coolant from the inner portion.
