Abstract:
A method for assembling a safety hose sleeve system using a crimper die set which includes an upper die comprising an upper curved compressive face, upper recess walls extending contiguous from the upper compressive face at an acute angle to the upper compressive face, each defining a portion of a cavity. Thrust plate slots extend upward from ends of the upper recess walls. A lower die comprises a lower curved compressive face. Lower recess walls extend contiguous from the lower compressive face at an acute angle to the lower compressive face and define another portion of each cavity. Lower thrust plate slots extend downward from an end of the lower recess walls. Thrust plates extend from the lower thrust plate slot into the upper thrust plate slot, across the cavity at an acute angle to each of the recess walls, defining an outer abutment of the cavity.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a multi layer agricultural hose configured to have two layers or three layers, wherein joining surfaces of the hose has an increased adhesive strength required to prevent the joining surfaces from being separated due to a high water pressure, and a manufacturing device therefore. The agricultural hose is formed by laminating layers of tarpaulin obtained by a process where a fabric having polyethylene (HDPEnullEVA) as a main component is firstly coated with resin at its external surface and then two fabrics are overlapped and attached by adhesion; and said layers are attached to one another by adhesion, with a joining surface of each of the layers being overlapped in a predetermined length.
Abstract:
A tubular liner for rehabilitating sewers includes a circumferentially expandable reinforcing layer impregnated with a light-curable reactive resin, and an outer tubular film surrounding the reinforcing layer and formed of a radially expandable material impermeable to UV light, in particular a liquid-tight and gas-tight plastic film. The tubular liner can be pulled into a sewer to be rehabilitated and can be expanded, in particular by using compressed air, so that the reinforcing layer and the outer tubular film contact the inner wall of the sewer before the reactive resin is cured. A protective tube made of a tear-resistant material is disposed around the outer tubular film and has a connecting portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the outer tubular film and being expandable in the circumferential direction by introducing compressed air into the tubular liner.
Abstract:
Laminate structures and methods of making laminate structures having overwrapped laminate edges which resist delamination and fraying or including one or more stabilizer laminates which afford greater radial and torsional rigidity in longitudinally slit tube structures.

Abstract:
A pipeline for conducting air for air conditioning in aircrafts includes a body portion formed with foamed plastics material or with a dense plastics material. The body portion defines a longitudinal axis and includes an outer surface carrying a wrapping for reinforcing the pipeline. The wrapping includes a plurality of adjacent contacting layers formed by at least one linear reinforcing element wound into a plurality of windings, with adjacent layers having windings angled in opposite directions to form a net-like structure of the wrapping. At least one of the spacing between the windings along the longitudinal axis or the angle of slope between the windings and the longitudinal axis varies in certain sections to change the winding density as a function of local mechanical load requirements on the pipeline.
Abstract:
An irrigation pipe formed from a sheet that is rolled into a tube about a longitudinal axis of the sheet. The pipe has a watertight layer and a fabric layer. The fabric layer comprises a first fiber arrangement including first main fibers having a first orientation and a second fiber arrangement including second main fibers having a second orientation. The first and second orientations are transverse relative to each other and to the longitudinal axis when viewed in the sheet before it is rolled.
Abstract:
A pipe having a wall formed from a cross-laminated film, and a method of making such a pipe. The film is formed of first and second layers having respective first and second orientation directions, wherein an angle between each of the first and second orientation directions and a projection of a longitudinal axis of the pipe on the wall is selected to enhance the resistance of the pipe to circumferential and/or longitudinal strain due to internal fluid pressure. The angle between each of the first and second orientation directions and a projection of the axis on the wall may be substantially equal to the neutral bias angle. In some cases, the angle between each of the first and second orientation directions and the projection of the axis on the wall may be substantially equal to 59°±2°.
Abstract:
A hose of impermeability has a wall corrugated along at least a part of its length, and formed by an inner thin resin layer, a laminated layer including a metal film, or a layer formed by a metal film, and an outer thin resin layer. It has a very high fluid impermeability owing to its wall layer including or formed by a metal film, and is also very flexible, capable of absorbing vibration, light in weight and strong. A tubular inner thin resin layer is formed by extrusion as the innermost layer of a multi-layered hose wall, and a laminated tape including a metal film, or simply a metal film is spirally wound or longitudinally lapped about the inner resin layer. An outer thin resin layer is formed about a layer formed by the laminated tape, or metal film, and the whole is at least partly corrugated. Alternatively, corrugation is done before an outer thin resin layer is formed by electrostatic powder coating. A different process includes applying a laminated tape including a metal film about a mandrel to form a tubular laminated layer, and after removing the mandrel, coating the inner surface of the tubular layer with a resin powder electrostatically to form a thin resin layer thereon.
Abstract:
An irrigation pipe is formed from a sheet rolled into a tube about a longitudinal axis, and having overlapped lateral margins. The sheet has a fabric layer and an outer layer formed on the fabric layer. The pipe includes axially extending load bearing members which are in contact with the outer layer. The load bearing members are lacking at least in the vicinity of one or both of the overlapped lateral margins.
