    摘要: A service tee (T) of this disclosure includes a valve plug (V) having a plunger (31) connected to a threaded stem (27) extending from a bottom end (10b) of a plug body (10). Turning the threaded stem actuates the plunger, thereby advancing and retracting a seal (35) of the plunger to block or allow flow respectively. An anti-rotation stop (23) prevents the plunger from rotating as the threaded stem linearly displaces the plunger. A keyway or drive (10d) for actuating the plunger remains recessed in the body of the plug so that prior art plug insertion tools can be used for plug installation. In some embodiments, the plug insertion tool may be a hot tapping machine. Once the plug has been set into a pressurized pipeline fitting, every leak path is sealed using non-metallic (e.g. elastomeric or polymer) sealing technology.

    摘要: Irrigation valves for channels and for irrigation tanks are of three types. All are activated by a pair of tilting float arms to which a pair of floats are attached. One type is a T-shaped duct with a cylindrical valve disposed at 90 degrees to the part that is connected to the incoming flow. The floats rotate the valve. The second type has the same construction as the first type, thereby giving flow control but additionally has a rise and fall gate in the duct part that is connected to the incoming flow. The gate acts as a stop valve. The third type has a cylindrical duct connectable to the incoming flow but no valve and provides both flow control and stop valve facilities through a rise and fall gate actuated by the tilting of the float arms.

    摘要: This invention, through an arrangement of basic elements, has resulted in a new device for landscape irrigation which has not been previously available. This implementation is an electromechanical device which can potentially revolutionalize the entire landscape irrigation industry. During operation it cyclically varies the amount of water ejected from a sprinkler device and thereby provides a more uniform coverage than is ordinarily available. This obviates the necessity to have additional sprinklers fill in the under-watered areas. The device accomplishes this by utilizing a synchronous alternating current motor to drive a rotor which, as it rotates, varies the flow rate of the water to the sprinklers. The motor is powered by the same source that powers the valves feeding water to the sprinklers. Its use will drastically reduce the amount of irrigation water required, helping to save a precious resource.
