摘要: Provided is a refrigeration apparatus capable of reducing the leakage of a refrigerant even when a refrigerant leak occurs in a defrosting operation of a usage-side heat exchanger. When a refrigerant leak situation around a usage-side heat exchanger satisfies a predetermined leak condition in performing a defrosting operation with a connection state of a four-way switching valve brought into a defrosting connection state in which a heat source-side heat exchanger functions as an evaporator for a refrigerant and a usage-side heat exchanger functions as a radiator for the refrigerant, a controller performs density lowering control to lower a refrigerant density in the usage-side heat exchanger while maintaining the four-way switching valve at the defrosting connection state.

摘要: A cooling device is capable of protecting an electronically controlled expansion valve in a main refrigerant circuit from the liquid hammer phenomenon due to high-pressure liquid refrigerant when cooling operation starts. The cooling device includes a main refrigerant circuit, a defrosting refrigerant circuit, and a controller. In the main refrigerant circuit, a compressor, a condenser, a main opening-closing valve, an expansion valve in which the flow rate of refrigerant is variable, and an evaporator are connected via refrigerant pipes. The defrosting refrigerant circuit connects the refrigerant outlet side of the compressor in the main refrigerant circuit and the refrigerant inlet side of the evaporator in the main refrigerant circuit to each other and includes a valve mechanism.

摘要: Surged heat pump systems, devices, and methods are disclosed having refrigerant phase separators that generate at least one surge of vapor phase refrigerant into the inlet of an evaporator during an on cycle of the compressor. This surge of vapor phase refrigerant, having a higher temperature than the liquid phase refrigerant, increases the temperature of the evaporator inlet, thus reducing frost build up in relation to conventional refrigeration systems lacking a surged input of vapor phase refrigerant to the evaporator. The temperature of the vapor phase refrigerant is raised in relation to the liquid phase with heat from the liquid by the phase separation, not by the introduction of energy from another source. The surged heat pump systems may operate in highest heat transfer efficiency mode and/or in one or more higher temperature modes.

摘要: A refrigeration system includes a first circulation fan electrically coupled to a power source via a first load wire. A relay is electrically coupled to the first circulation fan via a second load wire and to the power source. In an open position, the relay interrupts electrical voltage from the relay to the first circulation fan via the second load wire causing the first circulation fan to operate in a low-speed mode. In a closed position, the relay supplies electrical voltage to the first circulation fan via the second load wire causing the first circulation fan to operate in a high-speed mode. Operation of the first circulation fan in the high-speed mode reduces a defrost cycle time associated with the refrigeration system relative to operation of the first circulation fan in low-speed mode.

During defrosting operation, while a four-way valve is switched to cause the air-source heat exchanger to serve as a radiator, and the earth-source heat exchanger to serve as an evaporator to collect the geothermal heat, and the collected geothermal heat is collected in the main circuit via the sub-circuit.

摘要: A refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus performs, even during a heating operation under air conditions leading to formation of frost, a defrosting operation while simultaneously continuing the heating operation and improves comfort through heating by securing an appropriate amount of ventilation. A plurality of refrigeration cycles independently performs a heating operation and a defrosting operation. By controlling a ventilation damper of an indoor unit that is to perform a defrosting operation to increase the amount of ventilation, a prior ventilation operation for securing the time-averaged required amount of ventilation including the period in which the defrosting operation is being performed is performed before the defrosting operation, and after the prior ventilation is terminated, the defrosting operation is started.
