    摘要: A method of controlling an automatic transmission connected to an engine in a motor vehicle includes receiving an input signal generated via an application of force by a switch inside the vehicle. The switch has a predetermined travel and is configured to request a transmission speed-ratio change via an output signal indicative of the received input signal. The output signal is received via a controller programmed with a permitted engine speed range. The transmission is commanded to execute a change from a currently selected speed-ratio to another speed-ratio if the requested speed-ratio change would generate an engine speed within the permitted engine speed range. The switch is commanded to execute full travel under the application of force if the speed-ratio change in the transmission was commanded. Alternatively, the switch is commanded to execute partial travel under the application of force if the speed-ratio change in the transmission was not commanded.

    摘要: A control apparatus for a multi-speed automatic transmission which is equipped with a manual shift mode that allows a speed step to be shifted up or down manually by an operation of a driver of the vehicle is provided. The control apparatus permits a downshift to be manually performed, provided that during the manual mode, one of vehicle speed, engine rotation speed, and turbine rotation speed of the multi-speed automatic transmission is less than or equal to a downshift permission criterion value that is set according to the speed step achieved by the downshift. The control apparatus corrects the downshift permission criterion value by a speed-value-increasing correction amount that is computed according to the situation of travel of the vehicle. The control apparatus includes a speed-value-increasing correction amount computation portion that computes the speed-value-increasing correction amount separately for each of numbers of steps over which downshifts occur.

    摘要: A driver-aid method for shifting gears in an automatic transmission, wherein an automatic operating mode of the automatic transmission provides for shifting automatically by means of an optimization strategy based on information signals. Manual shifting of the gears of the vehicle by means of a control device is permitted even in automatic operating mode: a) if the shift requested manually by the driver is compatible with the set optimization strategy, a physical return is transmitted to the driver informing the driver of the compatibility of the shift requested; and b) if the shift requested manually by the driver is not compatible with the set optimization strategy, a physical return is transmitted to the driver informing the driver of the incompatibility of the shift requested.

    摘要: A method for controlling a transmission in a motor vehicle by operation of a transmission control system which evaluates the actuating wishes of the driver and by an electrical/pneumatic adjusting device, permits rapid shifting of gears in a non-synchronized transmission. In certain cases, for example when traveling uphill, the speed of the vehicle may decrease by the end of the gear changing process to such an extent that an engagement of the gear selected by the driver would lead to a drop below the engine idling speed. Similarly, the corollary applies to the highest acceptable engine speed, for example during down-hill travel. Therefore, the evolution in time of the actual transmission input speed or of the engine speed during a gear changing process is compared with the transmission input speed calculated on the basis of the gear ratio of the selected gear and the speed to be expected in case of synchronization of both speeds is calculated in advance. If the engine speed calculated in advance does not fall within the acceptable engine speed, another gear resulting in a rotational speed within the acceptable engine speed range is selected automatically.
