摘要: A turbocharger (10) having a bearing housing (14) between a turbine housing and a compressor housing with a shaped core (16) forming an internal oil drain cavity (20) adjacent to a spacer (24) shaped to induce swirling for oil defoaming. A depression (18) in an internal core wall of the bearing housing (14) forms the oil drain cavity (20) with each end (22) of the depression (18) corresponding to a distal end (30) of the spacer (24). The spacer (24) is preferably substantially tubular with a row of oil-flow apertures (32) aligned on each outer span (34) of a recessed center portion (28) to induce swirling.

In the slide bearing in which halved members, made by dividing a cylinder in two in a direction parallel to the axial direction are disposed vertically, grooves are provided at an end of the axial direction of the lower halved member in the circumferential direction and the height of a peripheral edge part configured at the outside of the groove in the axial direction is changed corresponding to the circumstance direction and the gradient of the height of the peripheral edge part is configured in asymmetry using the center (the bearing angle (ω) is (ω2)) in the circumferential direction as a symmetry axis.

One of a supporting surface supporting the bearing pad in the second supporting mechanism and a supported surface supported by the supporting surface in the bearing pad is formed in a convex shape.

摘要: A tilting pad bearing for a high speed rotary machines, such as a turbocharger for an internal combustion engine, comprises a cage and a plurality of tilting pads. The cage is formed by two annular rings separated by spacers machined from a single billet of high-temperature metal. The bearing pads are inserted between the spacers of the cage. One or more O-rings retain the bearing pads within the cage during assembly of the bearing but are not required after installation of the bearing. When retained in the final assembly and installation of the bearing, the O-rings allow tilting movement of the pads within the cage. The outer surfaces of the spacers have a plurality of grooves, and outer surfaces of each of the pads have matching grooves. One of the grooves is an oil groove, wherein the oil groove of the spacers communicating with and oil inlet holes in the spacers. At least one of the other grooves receives an O-ring that hold the pads in place in the cage during installation. When two O-rings are used on either side of the oil groove in the final assembly, the O-rings serve to direct oil to the oil groove and prevent or reduce oil leakage.

摘要: An oil seal bearing of a fan includes a ring-shaped body for supporting a shaft of the fan, and a protruded portion disposed on the ring-shaped body. The protruded portion has a first slope, wherein the first slope is disposed corresponding to an inner top surface of a hub of the fan. An oil storage space is formed between the first slope, the shaft and the inner top surface for storing a lubricant. A first angle is formed by the extension of the first slope and the inner top surface, such that the lubricant is retained by the capillarity between the first slope and the inner top surface. Under this circumstance, the oil sealing is achieved without any additional oil seal, the effective bearing height is maximized, and the advantages of enhancing the supporting efficiency and lengthening the lifetime of the product are also achieved.

摘要: A slide bearing has an oil supply passage formed in a lower bearing portion, that supplies lubricating oil into clearance between an outer peripheral surface of a rotating shaft and lower and upper slide surfaces, and an oil discharge passage formed in the lower half bearing portion and discharges the lubricating oil from the clearance. The oil supply passage has a downstream portion and the oil discharge passage has an upstream portion which is provided at positions on opposite sides of the rotating shaft. The oil supply passage has an upstream portion extending toward the upstream portion of the oil discharge passage, and the oil discharge passage has a downstream portion extending toward the downstream portion of the oil supply passage.
