摘要: A variable mechanical automotive coolant pump includes a rotatable rotor shaft, an impeller wheel which is co-rotatably connected with the rotor shaft, a static guiding cylinder, a control sleeve, and at least one guiding device. The impeller wheel has a discharging radial outside. The control sleeve has a hollow-cylindrical control sleeve body having a radial outside. The control sleeve does not rotate and is guided axially slidable within the static guiding cylinder so as to regulate a flow rate of the variable mechanical automotive coolant pump by closing or opening the discharging radial outside of the impeller wheel. The at least one guiding device guides the radial outside of the control sleeve within the static guiding cylinder.

摘要: A system includes a variable displacement pump (VDP) with a pump inlet and a pump outlet. The VDP is configured to receive a flow at the pump inlet at a first pressure and to outlet a flow from the pump outlet at a second pressure elevated relative to the first pressure. A second pump is in fluid communication to receive flow at the pump inlet at the first pressure and to outlet flow from an auxiliary outlet. A backup selector is in fluid communication with the pump outlet and with the auxiliary outlet. The backup selector is configured to operate in a normal mode to supply the pump outlet from the VDP and to supply the auxiliary outlet from the second pump. The backup selector is configured to switch to a backup mode to supply the pump outlet from the second pump upon failure of the VDP.

摘要: An engine air valve assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a butterfly valve having a translation shaft and a fueldraulic actuator including a piston. The piston is mechanically linked to the translation shaft by an axial to rotational conversion linkage. A regulating valve housing contains the butterfly valve and the fueldraulic actuator. The regulating valve housing includes an actuator housing portion and a valve housing portion joined via a joint section. The regulating valve housing is a single integral piece.

The rotary actuator is a self-contained unit so that the device may be removed from the gas turbine engine without requiring removal of additional fuel system components. Finally, some embodiments of the rotary actuator may comprise multiple actuator loops to provide adjustment for two or more rows of vanes, independently.

摘要: Systems and methods include actuation system of turbomachinery that include an actuator configured to control pitch of vanes of the turbomachinery and a positioner configured to position the actuator to control the pitch. The actuation system also includes a controller system communicably coupled to the positioner. The controller system is configured to drive the positioner based at least in part on a set point of the turbomachinery and obtain data from the positioner indicating an amount of force used for a target pitch. Using the data, the controlling system derives an operating condition for the turbomachinery and controls the turbomachinery based at least in part on the operating condition of the turbomachinery.

摘要: A coolant pump for an internal combustion engine (ICE) in a vehicle with a central engine control, having a pump shaft that drives an impeller for pumping a coolant. An axial piston pump operated via a wobble plate on a rear face of the impeller, conducts part of the pumped coolant away to a hydraulic circuit that extends from the axial piston pump via a proportional valve back to the pumped coolant and has a branch-off between the axial piston pump and the proportional valve as the hydraulic actuator. A regulating slide valve adjusts coolant volume flow of depending on pressure in the hydraulic circuit. A sensor detects a parameter characteristic of the coolant volume flow and outputs an actual value signal. A dedicated pump control controls the proportional valve based on the actual value signal of the sensor and a desired value signal of the central engine control.
