The at least first component comprises a hydrogen bond acceptor and the at least second component comprises a hydrogen bond donor. The eutectic mixture includes an equilibrium phase between the at least first component and the at least second component. The equilibrium phase does not exhibit physical characteristics of the at least first component in an unmixed state and the at least second component in an unmixed state. The at least first component and the at least second component form an intermolecular interaction between each other sufficient to prevent crystallization of the at least first component and the at least second component in the eutectic mixture. The eutectic mixture is a liquid at 20° C.

In one embodiment, the process comprises: preparing a slurry comprising a base oil, water, a metal base and a complexing agent, wherein the weight ratio of water:solid in the slurry is in the range of from 0.15:1 to 1.5:1; applying shear to the slurry; adding a C10-C24 saturated or unsaturated fatty acid or derivative thereof to effect a saponification reaction; removing water from the saponified product; heating the saponified product at a temperature in the range of from 190 to 230° C.; and subsequently cooling the product to a temperature in the range of from 200 to 150° C. to form the metal complex grease composition.

When the two-component anti-seizure agent is applied onto disk-roll type guide shoes, it can be provided and maintained on the circumferential surface of the disk-roll type guide shoes without washed away by rolls' cooling water. Thereby, the anti-seizure agent does not adhere to rolls and the rolls and a pipe material do not cause slippage each other. Thus, it is capable to carry out piercing-rolling of the pipe material.

The instant invention provides a lubricant composition having improved four-ball antiwear properties. The lubricant composition includes a base oil and one or more alkylethercarboxylic acid corrosion inhibitor(s) having the formula: wherein R is a straight or branched chain C6-C18 alkyl group and n is a number of from 0 to 5. The lubricant composition also includes an ashless antiwear additive including phosphorous. The four-ball antiwear properties are reported as an average diameter of wear scars pursuant to ASTM D4172. The average diameter of the wear scars resulting from the lubricant composition are at least 5% smaller than the average diameter of the wear scars resulting from a standard that includes the base oil and the antiwear additive and that is free of the one or more alkylethercarboxylic acid corrosion inhibitor(s).
