Abstract:
A roofing system including a cap shingle and a method of producing a cap shingle are disclosed. In one embodiment, the cap shingle is formed with a continuous or discontinuous self-sealing adhesive that is applied along a ridgeline direction and can provide high wind resistance, without the use of hand-sealed adhesive application. In an embodiment of the method, one or more layers of a shingle material can be oriented in a machine direction with the self-sealing adhesive applied adjacent side edges of the shingle material to form the cap shingles having self-seal strips and configured to bend in the machine direction for installation of the cap shingles along a ridge of a roof.
Abstract:
A transport device has a position detection portion, a holding portion attached to an arm, a driving portion to drive the holding portion and the arm, and a control portion. A control portion controls the position detection portion and the driving portion to perform, as one cycle, a procedure to detect a position of a parcel, select parcels based on a predetermined condition, and set priority for the selected parcels, and a procedure to refer to a result of the detection, and cause the holding portion to take out one or more parcels from the accumulation portion in accordance with the priority to transport the parcels to a predetermined location, and excludes, from parcels to be taken out, a second parcel that is present within a predetermined distance from a first parcel and has priority lower than the priority of the first parcel, during the one cycle.
Abstract:
Examples described may enable consolidating pallets of items in a warehouse. An example method includes receiving real-time item information including pallet locations in a warehouse and inventory of items arranged on the pallets; based on the real-time item information, identifying a set of pallets of which at least one pallet includes less than a threshold quantity of a type of item; receiving real-time robotics information and determining, based on the real-time item and robotics information, an amount of time to condense the items on the set of pallets into a single pallet and a quantity of pallets that will become empty as a result of condensing the items; and, based on the amount of time being less than a threshold time and the quantity of pallets exceeding a threshold quantity of pallets, causing robotic devices to condense the items into the single pallet.

Abstract:
A method of delivering proppant to a well site has the steps of transporting a load of proppant in a vessel to a desired location, moving the load of proppant from the vessel into a container so as to create a proppant-loaded container, unloading the proppant-loaded container into a pneumatic bulk trailer, and transporting the unloaded proppant in the pneumatic bulk trailer to well site. The container is placed onto a bed of a truck and moved in proximity to the vessel. The proppant-loaded container is placed onto a tilting mechanism and then tilted so that the proppant is discharged through a flow gate of a container into a hopper. The proppant in the hopper can then be conveyed to the pneumatic bulk trailer.

Abstract:
When handling panel-shaped objects, such as glass panes, a gripping device (4) is used in order to remove the objects from stacks (1, 2), in which the objects are inclined towards the vertical, or to position the objects onto stacks (1, 2), wherein the gripping device allows at least two stacks (1, 2) of objects to be formed on bearing blocks, the stacks (1, 2) differing from each other. The gripping device (4) has at least two grippers which are independent of each other. Suction heads (7) are provided as the grippers of the gripping device (4), the suction heads being pivotal independently of each other into and out of the suction head working position associated with the objects. In the process, gripping device (4) suction heads (7) pivoted out of their operating position are arranged above the stacks (1, 2).
Abstract:
The invention describes a packing arrangement for packing a product comprising at least one of the following devices; a bagging unit a pallet loading device a pallet securing device. A device is suggested to provide information regarding the arrangement, the packing, and/or the product, allowing the information to be displayed with at least one terminal outside the device.
Abstract:
Input stacks of value documents are inserted in an input pocket of the value document processing apparatus, transported through the apparatus, checked and sorted into different deposit pockets of the value document processing apparatus, wherein reject value documents are deposited separately from the valid value documents. The reject value documents are automatically transported back to the input pocket with the aid of a reject transport device, to check the reject value documents again with the same value document processing apparatus (rerun). The reject transport device has several reject transport units, in which the reject value documents from the different input stacks are deposited separately from each other, and a reader for reading in the machine-readable identifier of the respective reject transport unit used for assigning the reject value documents of the respective reject transport unit to the input stack to which these reject value documents belong.
