Abstract:
A method of assembling a pallet using a machine includes folding a first portion of a pallet support column to define a vertical support structure. The method further includes folding a second portion of the pallet support column to engage the vertical support structure. The method further includes gluing at least a portion of the second portion to the first portion. The method further includes coupling the pallet support column to at least one of a bottom member or a top member of the pallet.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a device and method for reefing a portion of tubular film, the reefing device having at least one reefing finger and at least one drive unit. The drive unit has advancing means, which, for reefing the portion of tubular film, is brought into operative connection with the reefing finger at least at the height of a point of engagement, while enclosing the portion of tubular film, and moves the portion of tubular film in relation to the reefing finger. The device according to the invention and the method according to the invention are distinguished in particular in that the position of the at least one point of engagement can be changed along the reefing finger as reefing progresses or the position of the point of engagement on the reefing finger is changed.
Abstract:
An apparatus for wrapping a stack of objects with a film has a film supply holding the film and a support including only two vertical masts adjacent the film supply and juxtaposed with the stack to be wrapped. A pull-down device is shiftable vertically along the two masts next to the stack. A film-feed head is also shiftable vertically along the two masts. The film extends from the supply through the film-feed head to the pull-down device. A film-storing means or looper is provided in the film-feed head for storing a variable length of the film in the head.
Abstract:
An apparatus for packaging an object with a tubular film, includes: a main frame, a stretch frame for stretching the tubular film and to applying the tubular film to the object, and a top frame having a feeding device for delivering a tubular film from a film magazine to the stretch frame and having a cutting device to cut the tubular film to a predetermined length. The top frame is moveable at the main frame between a working position and a maintenance position. In the maintenance position the top frame is located outside the work space.
Abstract:
An apparatus for wrapping an object with a film has a film-feed head having a drive for pulling the film from a supply and feeding it in a feed direction through the head toward an object to be wrapped with the film and a pull-down device downstream in the direction from the head for drawing the film around the object. A blower directs a stream of air in the feed head parallel and immediately adjacent to the film and in the feed direction so as to entrain the film in the direction.
Abstract:
A wrapping machine has a transfer and accumulation device including an accumulator element on which a part of the sleeve is wound, and a mechanism for performing spreading of the open end of the sleeve after transfer to the covering station. According to the invention, a programmable control device determines the position and/or the inclination angle of the feed axis of the load by synchronizing the positioning control of the transfer device with position data of the load. This results in positioning of the transfer device according to the spatial position of the load to be packaged.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for at least partially wrapping a piece-goods stack, in which a tubular portion is pulled over the piece-goods stack, and to an apparatus for carrying out the method according to the invention. The method according to the invention is distinguished in particular in that, during the pulling of the tubular portion over the piece-goods stack, pleats are produced in a specific manner in the tubular portion, said pleats extending obliquely over at least one side of the goods stack. The invention is achieved in terms of the apparatus in that the apparatus has a reefing device for reefing and/or drawing over the tubular portion, said reefing device being configured in such a manner that it reefs and/or unreefs regions of the tubular portion at different speeds and/or at different times.
Abstract:
A corner post application system comprises a conveyor subsystem and an enveloping machine adapted to envelope the plurality of units with a material. The system further includes a swing arm, an applicator arm coupled to the swing arm and adapted to move linearly, a corner post gripper coupled to the applicator arm, and a controller. The controller rotates the swing arm about a vertical axis until a corner post held by the corner post gripper is aligned with adjacent sides that define a corner of the load. The controller thereafter stops rotation of the swing arm and moves the applicator arm linearly toward the corner of the load until the corner post held by the corner post gripper contacts the adjacent sides of the load. A sensor may be included for detecting a corner of the load, with the controller aligning the corner post based on detection by the sensor.
Abstract:
A wrapping device 1 for packaging goods, specifically goods stacked on pallets or the like, with a tube-like film, with a film feeding device 4 with fusion and cutting systems to generate and feed a dome-like film cover within a device frame 6, where film feeding device 4 works in conjunction with a covering device 7 that moves vertically up and down within device frame 6, where covering device 7 is designed to grasp the film cover and place it to cover goods located in the lower segment of device frame 6, is characterized by having film feeding device 4 move vertically within device frame 6. This arrangement simplifies installation, maintenance and repairs, specifically to the film feeding device.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for wrapping articles and more particularly a pile of goods on a palette, in a foil hood, comprising the following operations—draw off of a length of a flat tube consisting from a supply, said flat tube consisting of respectively two foil webs, which are folded in an inward direction and accordingly are directly superposed in a flat state with an integral foil, opening out the end, which is to the fore in the draw off direction, of the tube, at least partially sealing the length, pulled off the foil supply, essentially athwart the draw off direction at a position remote from the foremost end of the tube (sealing position), cutting off the tube from the remaining foil supply at a position preceding the sealing position as considered in the draw off direction, drawing the tube over the articles to be wrapped, preferably after preceding reefing of the hood or of the tube portion eventually forming it on a reefing means, the flat tube, after final draw off from the supply thereof and prior to sealing being so folded inward from its outer sides in a V-shape that the two foil webs are superposed at the outer side during sealing respectively not directly but with the inclusion therebetween of a V-shaped foil fold whose fold tip extends toward the middle of the foil fold.
