摘要: In one general aspect, a method for filling multiple containers with a pharmaceutical product is disclosed, which comprises decontaminating sealed nested materials in a transfer chamber, removing from the sealed nested materials one or both of a container nest holding the multiple containers and a closure nest holding multiple closures, transferring from the transfer chamber to a controlled environment enclosure the removed nest, aseptically filling the containers with the pharmaceutical product, and closing the containers with the multiple closures. The nests are configured to allow multiple closures and containers to be simultaneously aligned concentrically, and closed simultaneously. Spring-loaded retaining structures on the closure nest allow it to releasably retain multiple closures above the corresponding multiple containers. In some embodiments the spring-loaded features are monolithically integrated with the closure nest. The product may be lyophilized in partially sealed containers while the sealing closures are releasably retained by the closure nest.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for vacuum stoppering a medical container. The device includes a main body defining an internal volume that has a variable pressure chamber configured to be connected to a vacuum pump. A stopper holder system is arranged in communication with the variable pressure chamber and is configured to receive and hold a stopper aligned with the direction of travel of a piston rod. A piston rod is moveable inside the internal volume of the main body along a longitudinal axis between a proximal rest position and a distal operative position wherein the piston rod pushes the stopper into the medical container. A container holder system provided in the main body, is arranged distally relative to the stopper holder system and in communication with the variable pressure chamber.

摘要: A method of inserting a lubricant free stopper into a lubricant free syringe barrel or lubricant free cartridge tube is disclosed. The method includes (1) inserting a stopper with a sealing rib into a placement region of a hybrid insertion device, (2) lowering the body of the hybrid insertion device into a syringe barrel or cartridge tube to a position located past the barrel flange or top of the cartridge tube while stablishing a sealable connection with the syringe barrel or cartridge tube, (3) maneuvering the stopper past the distal opening of the hybrid insertion device using an insertion pin and deploying the stopper at a final position within the syringe barrel or cartridge tube under vacuum assistance, (4) fully retracting the insertion pin from the syringe barrel or cartridge tube, and (5) retracting the hybrid insertion device from syringe barrel or cartridge tube. The method is lubricant free or substantially lubricant free. The hybrid insertion device may be electropolished and/or extrude honed.

摘要: Caps for sealing assemblies for sealing glass containers and maintaining container closure integrity at −80° C. or less are disclosed. The caps include a cap skirt having an annular body and a crimp region. The crimp region is a crimpable metal. The annular body of the cap skirt has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) greater than a CTE of a metal consisting of aluminum, a stiffness greater than or equal to 2 times a stiffness of the crimp region, or both. The greater CTE, stiffness, or both of the cap skirt increase the seal pressure and contact area between the stopper and glass container when cooled to −80° C. or less. The caps enable the sealing assemblies to maintain a helium leakage rate of the sealed glass container of less than or equal to 1.4×10−6 cm3/s at −80° C. or less.

The groove(s) define a length extending a distance from the open end of the barrel toward the distal end of the barrel and defining a substantially constant depth and width along the length thereof. 摘要: The invention relates to a pre-filled syringe, an auto-injector device comprising such pre-filled syringe, a method of administering a pharmaceutical composition with such auto-injector device, and a manufacturing method for such auto-injector device. The pre-filled syringe comprises a container and a needle. The container is filled with a pharmaceutical composition comprising epinephrine, a buffer, and water. The buffer is configured to buffer in a pH range between 3 and 4. The needle is adhered to the container by means of a urethane acrylate or urethane methacrylate acrylic light cure adhesive, which is configured to provide a pull out resistance of the needle relative to the container which is between 30 N to 100 N, preferably between 50 N to 70 N, more preferably greater than 60 N after 90 days exposure to the pharmaceutical composition at 40° C. and 75% relative humidity (RH). In an example, the pharmaceutical composition is for the treatment of an anaphylactic event.

摘要: A closure is provided for a container. The closure includes a base having a substantially cylindrical shape with a recessed area along a top perimeter of the base. The closure also includes a lid configured to close over and open off of the base. The closure further includes a tab that extends from a lower surface of the lid and includes a lip portion configured to fold back onto the tab and lock with the base when the lid is closed over the base. The tab detaches from the lid when opening the lid from the base after the lip portion is folded back onto the tab. A portion of the outer surface of the tab is visible through the at least one recessed area after the lid is closed over the base and remains partially visible after the tab has detached from the lid.
