    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed that include providing a piñata with an improved piñata structure. The piñata structure includes a top, a bottom, and a center piece, each having a plurality of slots extending radially inward from a perimeter. A plurality of vertical column components engage the top, bottom, and centerpiece via complementary aligned upper, lower, and middle slots to form compartments in the piñata structure that can be filled with candy or confetti. A tube extending through the center of the piñata structure includes a string passing therethrough and coupled to an anchoring object at the bottom of the piñata structure. The string serves as an axis of rotation for the piñata structure. Tape, streamer, ribbon, or a combination thereof is wrapped around the piñata structure in consecutive layers and when peeled, the piñata rotates and expels the contents of the piñata structure.

Crossover conveyors transport carriers between dispensing station pair members for dispensing multiple products per station pair. One conveyor tier returns empty carriers to induction, another transports carriers from each dispensing station to verification, then to packaging, another transports carriers from induction to dispensing, then to additional dispensing, another conveys carriers from induction to dispensing stations. Carrier stops halt carriers at stations for removal for processing, replacement, and transport to the next station, or deposit on another tier and transport to a different station. The system may include two conveyor modules, one for refrigerated or ambient unit-of-use items, another for ambient countables.

    摘要: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a random case sealer including a pneumatically-controlled top-head-actuating assembly configured to vary the speed of the top-head assembly when ascending (to make room for the case beneath the top-head assembly) and when descending onto the case (to engage the top surface of the case during sealing). The case sealer includes a pressure sensor that monitors the pressure of gas incoming from a gas source delivered to the top-head-actuating assembly via one or more valves. A controller controls the open level and/or the open time of the valves based on the pressure of the incoming gas to ensure the top-head-actuating assembly operates as desired regardless of whether the pressure of the incoming gas is equal to, below, or above a desired pressure. These features result in increased throughput compared to prior art random case sealers without requiring stronger cases or more protective dunnage.
