摘要: A stern drive is for propelling a marine vessel in a body of water. The stern drive has a powerhead, a mounting assembly configured to affix the powerhead to the transom, inside the marine vessel, and a drive assembly coupled to the mounting assembly, the drive assembly being trimmable up and down relative to the mounting assembly, the drive assembly comprising a driveshaft and an output shaft which extends transversely to the driveshaft. The drive assembly has a driveshaft housing for the driveshaft and a gearcase housing for the output shaft, wherein the gearcase housing is steerable relative to the driveshaft housing. A universal joint couples the powerhead to the driveshaft so that operation of the powerhead causes rotation of the driveshaft, which in turn causes rotation of the output shaft.

摘要: A torque fluctuation absorber includes a first outer helical spline, an intermediate member, an outer member, a first spring, and a second spring. The first outer helical spline is rotatable integrally with a torque transmission shaft. The intermediate member is able to move in a first axial direction and in a second axial direction. The intermediate member is linked with the torque transmission shaft through a first helical spline coupling including the first outer helical spline. Axial movement of the outer member with respect to the torque transmission shaft is regulated. The outer member is linked with the intermediate member through a second helical spline coupling. The first spring biases the intermediate member in the first axial direction. The second spring biases the intermediate member in the second axial direction.

摘要: Weed-trimmer outboard motor attachment has a lower shaft housing with a proximal coupling to correspondingly mate and engage a distal mid-shaft coupling of an upper part of a motorized weed-trimming device having a motor and a shaft that rotate a number of rotations per minute when operating; a distal termination thereto, which includes a propeller; and a rotation speed reduction unit to reduce a number of rotations of the propeller in relation to the number of rotations of the motor of the motorized weed-trimming device. The attachment can be assembled with the weed-trimming device to provide an outboard motor. A mount for mounting the weed-trimmer outboard motor to a boat can be provided as well.

摘要: An outdrive for a marine vessel, such as a watercraft having an inboard engine, is provided. The outdrive can include a standoff box joined with a drive unit having a driveshaft that rotates in response to rotation of an input shaft coupled to an engine within a hull of the watercraft. The drive unit includes a propeller shaft that rotates in response to rotation of the driveshaft, and an associated propeller. The drive unit is vertically movable from a raised mode to a lowered mode, in which the propeller shaft is a preselected distance from a bottom of the boat hull, thereby lowering a thrust point produced by the propeller, all while the watercraft is moving through water and while the propeller is producing thrust. A related method and standoff box are also provided.

摘要: A marine drive comprises an internal combustion engine that effectuates rotation of the driveshaft, a propulsor driven into rotation by the driveshaft so as to effect thrust, and a transmission that shifts amongst a forward gear, a reverse gear, and a neutral gear. The marine drive has a gear case housing on the bottom portion and a driveshaft housing around the driveshaft and positioned between the internal combustion engine and the gear case housing. The marine drive has a shift rod rotatable about its own axis, wherein rotation of the shift rod about its own axis shifts the transmission amongst the forward gear, the reverse gear, and the neutral gear. The marine drive also comprises an actuator positioned in the driveshaft housing that effectuates the rotation of the shift drive about its own axis.

摘要: The object of the invention is a method and an apparatus in an electric propulsion arrangement of a sailing vessel, wherein the sailing vessel has a traction device provided with an electric motor and with a propeller mechanism, the electric motor of traction device is arranged to be used, if necessary, in forward drive and reverse drive as well as during sailing as a generator for charging the accumulators of the sailing vessel. The propeller mechanism comprises a propeller hub with blades, a hollow propeller shaft fixed at its first end to the propeller hub, a shaft controlling the pitch angles of the propeller blades, said control shaft rotating inside the propeller shaft, and a servomotor rotating the control shaft. The servomotor is fixed to the second end of the propeller shaft to be rotatable along with the propeller shaft.

摘要: A steering apparatus comprises a rotatable steering shaft and a sensor which senses angular movement of the steering shaft. An electromagnetic actuator actuates a stop mechanism to releasable engage the steering shaft. There is a microcontroller which causes the electromagnetic actuator to actuate the stop mechanism to fully engage the steering shaft and prevent rotation of the steering shaft in a first rotational direction, which corresponds to movement towards the hardstop position, while allowing rotational play between the steering shaft and the stop mechanism in a second direction, which corresponds to rotational movement away from the hardstop position, when the sensor senses that the steering shaft has reached a hardstop position. A driver applies a reserve polarity pulse to the electromagnetic actuator when the stop mechanism is fully engaged and the steering shaft is rotated, as permitted by the rotational play, in the second rotational direction.
