Abstract: A drive device for a vessel includes an electric motor, driving a rotatable drive shaft; an elongate drive device housing, encapsulating the electric motor and the drive shaft; and a propeller, detachably mounted to the rotatable drive shaft. The drive device housing has an upper connection device. The upper connection device is symmetrical about a transverse axis, enabling the drive device housing to be mounted to a structure onboard the vessel in either of two longitudinal directions. The drive device and the hull of the vessel are separated from each other by using an isolation plate with a central isolation sleeve. The electric motor drives the drive shaft via an interconnected gear device encapsulated in the drive device housing or integrated as a part of the drive device housing and are arranged pivotably with respect to the tilt device housing.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a unique (or quasi unique) identifier can be received by an application store, or other on-line store, and the store can create a signed receipt that includes data desired from the unique identifier. This signed receipt is then transmitted to a device that is running the application obtained from the on-line store and the device can verify the receipt by deriving the unique (or quasi-unique) identifier from the signed receipt and comparing the derived identifier with the device identifier stored on the device, or the vendor identifier assigned to the application vendor.

Abstract: A trim and tilt device includes: a cylinder; a piston; a rod; and a rod guide. The rod includes a first end to which the piston is fixed, and the piston includes an insertion hole to which the first end of the rod is inserted. Over an entire periphery of the rod guide, a lower end of an outer peripheral surface of the rod guide that is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder is located closer to a second end of the rod than a lower end of a first inner peripheral surface of the rod guide where the outer peripheral surface of the rod is slidable. An upper end of an outer peripheral surface of the piston is located closer to the second end of the rod than an upper end of the insertion hole.

Abstract: A marine drive is for propelling a marine vessel in a body of water. The vibration isolating joint having an isolating connector assembly including an elastomeric member which is clamped between the extension leg and the supporting frame and configured to limit transfer of vibrations from the extension leg to the supporting frame, and a compression limiter which prevents over clamping of the elastomeric member during assembly of the extension leg and the motor housing.

Abstract: The present disclosure improves impact resistance of an electric outboard machine. The electric outboard machine includes an outboard machine body and an attachment. The attachment attaches the outboard machine body to a rear part of a boat. The outboard machine body includes a propeller, an electric motor that drives the propeller, and a controller that controls the motor. The controller is located between the motor and the attachment. If another boat collides with the boat from behind, the controller arranged between the motor and the attachment is easily protected from the impact upon rear-end collision. This can improve impact resistance of the electric outboard machine.

Abstract: A bracket for mounting a thruster to a boat includes a horizontal portion, a vertical portion that provides a vertical surface that matches an angle of the vessel transom, generally. The horizontal portion includes an enclosure. The vertical portion forms a transom-facing surface in a plane that is generally at a right angle relative to a horizontal plane, within a small range of angles. The transom-facing surface can angled to match the angle of the transom of a boat to which the thruster bracket is mounted. A thruster is mounted to the thruster bracket on a rotatable thruster mount that allows the thruster to be rotated in a generally horizontal plane relative to the bracket and the vessel to facilitate low speed maneuvering.
