Abstract: A container locking device on a vehicle, for locking a container having a corner fitting to be transported on a loading surface of the vehicle, the device including a lock housing (1), a locking bolt (2) and a first drive (3). The locking bolt (2) has a shaft (20) and a locking head (21) which, in the unlocked state, can be introduced via an opening in the corner fitting of the container and, in the locked state, secures the container via projections engaging behind the opening in the corner fitting. The lock housing (1) with the locking bolt (2) can be lowered and raised again by means of a lever mechanism (7) from a locking position, in which the locking head (21) projects sufficiently above the loading surface for locking with the corner fitting of the container, into a rest position, in which the locking head (21) does not project above the loading surface. The first drive (3) is operatively connected solely to the locking bolt (2), and a second drive (6) is operatively connected to the lever mechanism (7).

Abstract: A wheel end of a vehicle includes a knuckle and a wheel and wheel hub rotatably mounted to the knuckle. A CV-joint is positioned adjacent to the wheel hub. A clutch ring is slidable between engagement with one of the wheel hub and the CV-joint or both. A pneumatic annular actuator is connected to a shift fork that is engaged with the clutch ring for movement of the clutch ring between engaged and dis-engaged. The shift fork includes a base portion and an L-shaped section. The L-shaped section includes a plurality of slots therein to allow the shift fork to deflect and pivot when a misalignment occurs between the teeth of the constant velocity joint half shaft and the clutch ring during assembly of the CV-joint to the wheel hub. The pneumatic actuator includes an elastomeric diaphragm wall that includes a compliant stop extending axially therefrom.

Abstract: The primary purpose of this device is to reduce the fuel consumption of heavy trucks by improving airflow along the underside of a trailer, by way of a fairing mounted forward of the axles. This fairing is a teardrop shaped wedge with a flat bottom surface, which directs air towards the sides of the vehicle, while allowing a smaller volume to flow beneath the fairing such that it will clear the axles. Each axle is also covered by a flat panel, such that air will continue to travel smoothly beneath them. Attached to each panel is a brake cooling system, which consists of a pair of panels protruding downward, with their surfaces parallel to the direction of airflow. When the brakes are engaged, these panels rotate towards the center in an angled configuration, which redirects air towards the drums during and after braking, cooling them quickly and efficiently.

Abstract: A pneumatic and hydraulic elevating seat tube assembly of a bicycle includes an outer tube and a movable inner tube in the outer tube. An elevating adjustment unit in the movable inner tube has a fixed inner tube in the movable inner tube, a fixed piston in the fixed inner tube, a floating piston in the fixed inner tube, and an elastic isolator in the floating piston which is between a bottom end of the movable inner tube and the fixed piston so that a gas chamber is formed between the floating piston and the movable inner tube and a lower oil chamber is formed between the floating piston and the fixed piston. The elastic isolator has first and second annular grooves facing toward the lower oil chamber and the gas chamber respectively. The elastic isolator under pressure is extended radially, thereby effective in isolating oil from gas positively.

The engine output shaft (14) is disconnectably connectable to the planetary gear (10) by a movable piston (16) which in a first position connects the engine output shaft (14) to the planetary gear (10) and in a second position disconnects the gearbox input shaft from the planetary gear. Also a method for regenerative braking of a vehicle (1) for such a regenerative brake device (2) is disclosed.

Abstract: An axle disconnect and differential locking system for single or multiple axle vehicles which allows the vehicle to selectively engage and disengage an axle half shaft from the differential side gear. Additionally, the system allows the vehicle to selectively switch between locked and unlocked differential driving modes. The system has a first position, a second position and a third position. At the first position, the system is not meshingly engaged with the differential side gear or the differential case. At the second position, the system is meshingly engaged with the differential side gear but is not meshingly engaged with the differential case. At the third position, the system is engaged with the differential side gear and the differential case. In one embodiment the system is a sliding collar. According to another embodiment, the system includes an axle disconnect collar, a differential locking collar and a biasing member disposed therebetween.
