Then, a desired inherent torsional rigidity can be determined for at least one of the plurality of structural members. Lastly, the at least one of the plurality of structural members can be deformed to achieve the desired inherent torsional rigidity. Alternatively, the vehicular frame assembly can be manufactured by initially providing a plurality of structural members, each having an inherent torsional rigidity. A desired inherent torsional rigidity can be determined for at least one of the plurality of structural members, and the at least one of the plurality of structural members is deformed to achieve the desired inherent torsional rigidity. Lastly, the plurality of structural members can be assembled to form the vehicular frame assembly.

The bracket 221 has bracket plate portions 263a, 263b which each have a plane which is brought into contact with an end face of the inner tube and folded-back portions 235, 235. The bracket 221 is disposed in such a manner as to hold therein both ends of the inner tube 241 and is configured such that the elastic bush 240 is mounted thereon by passing a bolt 224 through the inner tube 241.

    摘要: An automobile sub-frame structure for supporting two double wishbone type rear suspensions on its respective sides includes a pair of juxtaposed first members extending in a direction widthwise of a vehicle body, a pair of opposed second members extending substantially vertically and each rigidly secured at an upper portion thereof to one end of each first member, and a pair of third members rigidly secured to lower portions of the second members and to a lower surface of a central portion of each first member. In the sub-frame structure, a plurality of truss structures are formed by the first, second and third members so that the sub-frame structure will be sufficiently rigid. Each double wishbone type rear suspension includes upper and lower control arms for pivotably supporting a rear wheel, which control arms are pivotably connected at their inner ends to the second members in the vicinity of portions connecting the first and second members and in the vicinity of portions connecting the second and third members, respectively.
