摘要: An electronics assembly is provided for use with a tire. The assembly includes a plurality of printed circuit boards, each of which includes an electronic device configured to sense a condition of the tire. Attachment pegs are provided to attach the printed circuit boards together in stacked positions that are spaced apart by the attachment pegs. Each attachment peg has a lower end portion configured to attach to any one of the printed circuit boards. Each attachment peg further has an upper end portion configured to attach to any other one of the printed circuit boards. This enables the printed circuit boards to be attached interchangeably between the stacked positions.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing a rubber component (1), in the case of which at least one electronic assembly (2) is embedded between a lower and an upper ply (10, 11) of a rubber material, comprising the steps:
a) providing a length portion of the lower ply (10) of the rubber material, which is equipped, on the top side (100), with at least one electronic assembly (2);
b) stationarily positioning the length portion of the lower ply (10);
c) unrolling a length portion of the upper ply (11) of the rubber material on the top side (100) of the stationary length portion of the lower ply (10) in an unrolling direction (A), and fixedly adhesively connecting the length portions of the plies (10, 11) of the rubber material so as to embed the at least one electronic assembly (2);
d) conveying out the length portion of the rubber component (1).

摘要: The machine includes a tire-building zone for producing, on a drum, a carcass entity that includes a carcass ply with carcass reinforcers. The machine also includes a finishing zone for producing a crown entity that includes a tread, a shaping system for causing the carcass entity to expand radially in order to give it a toroidal shape. In an assembling zone, the crown entity is assembled on the carcass entity. A biasing system interacts, during the shaping, with the carcass reinforcers so as to modify the angular orientation of the carcass reinforcers with respect to the circumferential direction of the drum. An automatic control unit allows a biased-crown tire to be manufactured in this way.

摘要: A tire pre-conditioning system includes a first mandrel, a second mandrel spaced apart from the first mandrel, and a controller in communication with the first mandrel and the second mandrel. The first mandrel is fixedly attached to a first shaft and including a first tapered sidewall. The second mandrel is fixedly attached to a second shaft and including a second tapered sidewall. The controller is operable to axially move the first mandrel and the second mandrel toward one another until the first and second tapered sidewalls are opposing respective beads of a tire, and supply pressurized fluid into an internal cavity of the tire to inflate the tire. The inflating causing the beads to move relative to mandrels while contacting the opposing respective tapered sidewalls to burnish the beads of the tire.
