摘要: The present invention is directed to a tire comprising a tread, two sidewalls, a carcass and at least two belts arranged radially between the carcass and the tread in a crown area of the tire. The tread has at least one axially outer edge portion covering the axially outermost edge of at least one of the belts and comprising a different rubber composition than a portion of the tread neighboring the axially outer edge portion of the tread. Furthermore, one of the sidewalls at least partially covers and contacts the axially outer surface of the axially outer edge portion of the tread.

摘要: A pneumatic tire includes a pair of bead cores; a pair of bead fillers that are connected to the pair of bead cores; a carcass ply that is suspended between the pair of bead cores; a side wall rubber that is arranged on a tire-outer-surface-side of the carcass ply and constitutes a tire outer surface; a chafer layer that is turned from a tire-inner-surface-side to the tire-outer-surface-side around the bead cores and the bead fillers and rolled up on an outer surface of the carcass ply; and a pair of support rubbers that are located between the side wall rubber and the carcass ply and arranged so as to hold a rolled-up end of the chafer layer from both sides in a tire width direction. A modulus values of the pair of support rubbers are higher than a modulus value of the side wall rubber.

摘要: A pneumatic vehicle tire has a carcass with at least one carcass ply. The surface of the carcass ply has an overlay made of an electrically conductive rubber mixture. The overlay extends continuously from an electrically conductive bead base to a superstructure and contacts the superstructure. A method for making a pneumatic vehicle tire includes the steps of making a carcass ply, covering a surface of the carcass ply with a continuous overlay made of an electrically conductive rubber mixture. The overlay contacts an electrically conductive bead base and the superstructure in the finished pneumatic vehicle tire.

摘要: Tire including: a tread; a pair of sidewalls extending substantially inward radially from ends of the tread; a pair of beads positioned substantially radially inwardly of the sidewalls; and a clinch portion extending from the sidewalls to the beads. A concave curved surface extends on an outer surface of the clinch portion in a circumferential direction. A convex curved surface formed on a radially outer side end of a rim flange is engageable with the concave curved surface. A ratio R1/R of curvature radius R1 of the concave curved surface to a curvature radius R of the convex curved surface of the rim flange satisfies 1.7≤R1/R≤2.5. The curvature radii R1 and R of the concave and convex curved surfaces, respectively, are each a radius of curvature of an arc on a cross-section taken along a plane including a tire center axis.

摘要: Tires for vehicle wheels having reduced environmental impact and the components thereof, in particular reinforcing structural elements such as carcass structures, belt structures, flippers and chafers, include elongated reinforcing elements treated with resorcinol and formaldehyde-free cross-linkable adhesive compositions. The adhesive compositions include at least a) a rubber latex, at least b) an epoxide and at least c) a polyamine with molecular weight higher than 190 Daltons, including at least two amino groups selected from primary —NH2 and secondary —NH— amino groups. In the structural element, these compositions confer an adhesion between cords and compounds that is comparable to, if not better than, the traditional RFL system in use in this sector. Furthermore, by suitably modifying the compound compositions in the reinforced structural elements and, possibly, also in the other elastomeric components of the tire, it is possible to manufacture tires while avoiding the use of toxic chemicals, such, as resorcinol and formaldehyde.

Sidewalls 6 extend to positions between the beads 10 and the chafers 8, respectively. The chafers 8 extend to positions outward of ends 38 of turned-up portions 44 of a carcass ply 40 in the radial direction. When a side surface 50 represents a portion, of an outer surface of each chafer 8, which contacts with a flange of a rim, an outline of the side surface 50 has an arc C that extends from a heel of the bead 10 portion and projects inward.

摘要: In an apex 34 of a tire 2, a reinforcing portion 48 is located inward of a main body 46 in an axial direction. When a position on an outer surface of the tire 2 at which position a height from a BBL is 14 mm is defined as a first point P1 and a position on the outer surface of the tire 2 at which position a height from the BBL is 20 mm is defined as a second point P2, the reinforcing portion 48 overlaps the first point P1 and the second point P2 in a radial direction. A loss tangent of the reinforcing portion 48 is equal to a loss tangent of the main body 46 or less than the loss tangent. A hardness of the reinforcing portion 48 is equal to a hardness of the main body 46 or greater than the hardness.
