摘要: Using a metal mold (20a) consisting of a convex mold part (21a) and a concave mold part (22a), a molding material (14) is placed between a pair of coating films (12), and after clamping, the molding material (14) and the coating film (12) are heated and molded to make a biodegradable expanded molded article, and at the same time, the coating film (12) is softened and pressure-bonded to a surface of the biodegradable expanded molded article. An exhaust hole (31a) and (32a) are provided on the convex mold part (21a) and the concave mold part (22a), respectively. At the time of heating and molding, gaseous matter existing between the coating film (12) and a surface of the metal mold (20a) is discharged out of the metal mold (20a) through the exhaust holes (31a) and (32a). Accordingly, it is possible to provide a method and a mold to manufacture a biodegradable expanded molded article easily and with excellent accuracy of dimension, having enough strength, enough water resistance, very excellent biodegradability and excellent surface smoothness even if the biodegradable molded article has a complicated shape.

摘要: A method of recycling waste plastic foam materials firstly is to smash a waste material including polyurethane foam into fine particles so as to obtain a first starting material. The first starting material is then crisped and followingly milled into powder so as to obtain a second starting material. The second starting material is then placed into a mixer to mix with a first foaming reaction solution including polyol, catalyst and additives injected into the mixer so as to form a semi-treated foaming material. And then, the semi-treated foaming material is mixed with a second foaming reaction solution including diisocyanate injected into the mixer so as to obtain a completed-treated foaming material. Lastly, the completed-treated foaming material is poured into a mold and then water vapor is uniformly introduced into the mold so as to induce the completed-treated foaming material to proceed foaming reaction.

摘要: In a process and a device for producing blocks of expanded polystyrene, a loose mass (7) of polystyrene spheres is expanded in a mould (2-3), where a rear surface (9) of the polystyrene block (8) previously produced delimits the mould forming chamber. Therefore, through adherence the newly formed block (7-8) is joined to the rear end (9) of the block previously formed, and the block (8) made in this way is fed forward until it forms the rear end (9) for another newly expanded block (8), and so on to produce a sort of continuous block (8), which can be formed for cutting to any desired size, without producing any waste.

摘要: A bowl-shaped container (10a) which is as a biodegradable molded article adheres a coating film (12) mainly made of biodegradable plastic and having at least hydrophobicity to the surface of the main body (11a) of the container mainly made of starch. The main body (11a) is molded through steam expansion of a slurry or dough molding material containing high-amylose starch and water, or a slurry or dough molding material containing starch, polyvinyl alcohol and water. For these reasons, it is possible to accomplish sufficient strength and at least sufficient water resistance, to exert a very excellent biodegradability and further to provide a biodegradable molded article having excellent moisture absorption strength mainly made of starch even if the biodegradable molded article has a complicated shape.

摘要: A foam molding die apparatus integrally molds a top side member and a back side member via a foam member. This apparatus comprises a plurality of work piece nozzles. Of these nozzles, the nozzles for supplying heating steam is structured so that a cylindrical body of which a work piece flow passage having a vent hole incapable of passing raw material beads is formed at a tip end portion is mounted to a die via a heat buffering member. In addition, the above nozzles may be structured so that means for forming a vent hole incapable of passing raw material beads is disposed in a synthetic resin based pipe forming a work piece flow passage. The work piece nozzles are preferably disposed with intervals of at least 100 mm on the outer face of a die at a portion at which the thickness of a foam molder is less than 10 mm. With respect to a portion at which the thickness of the foam molder is 10 mm or more, these nozzles are preferably disposed with intervals of at least 150 mm.

摘要: A method and apparatus for making a foamed polyurethane cushion. The cushion may be a separate cushion for carpeting or other fabric, or may be bonded to carpeting. Components for forming a foamed polyurethane are cooled, and dispensed into a puddle on a moving sheet. The puddle is leveled by an air knife into a uniform coating; then, the moving sheet is passed around a roller and placed coated side down against a fabric. The resulting sandwich is held, and moved across a steam box. The steam causes the components to react and form a blown polyurethane. After the blowing is complete and before the foam is cured beyond its plastic state, the thickness of the foam is adjusted by pressing with a roller. The sheet, which is a thermoplastic, is heated to cause the sheet to blend into the completed foam.
