摘要： Elastomeric articles, such as gloves are disclosed. The gloves include a primary matrix made from one or more elastomeric materials and a foam donning layer. In one embodiment, for instance, the donning layer can be formed from a polyurethane foam. The polyurethane foam can be created from the reaction product of a polyurethane prepolymer and a solution containing water. The resulting foam can be hydrophilic and can absorb moisture for preventing moisture from being trapped between the primary matrix and a user's skin.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a portion of a seat. A cover member is shaped to a predetermined shape and placed in a foam molding tool into which is injected an expandable liquid foaming material to mold a foam pad which is integrally bonded to the cover member. In the manufacturing of seat backs, the cover member includes a tubular envelope cover positioned on a cantilever forming tool. Once the foam pad is molded, the cover member is turned inside out to enclose the foam pad with the cover member. The cover is then telescoped over a seat frame. Alternatively, the foam pad can be molded to a shaped fabric sheet, the envelope cover formed by sewing a second cover member to the fabric sheet. A seat cushion is made by shaping a cover member, placing the cover member in a foam molding tool which also holds the seat frame and injecting an expandable liquid foaming material into the mold to mold the foam cushion, bond the cushion to the cover and embed the seat frame in the foam. The edges of the cover are then wrapped around the side of the foam pad and attached to the frame. Alternatively, a side panel can be sewn to the cover and attached to the frame.

摘要： A process for the manufacture of moulded material-covered products is provided wherein material is placed over a mould and held by clamping means proximate the periphery of the mould and thereafter material is drawn into the mould to conform to the shape of the interior surface of the mould prior to the injection of foamable thermoplastics material into the mould to form the product. The process includes the step of disposing a stop at predetermined positions on the material so that when the material is drawn into the mould, the stop precludes further material from ingressing into the mould and any further movement of material into mould is by the stretching of material. A mould for moulding the moulded product is also provided which includes a bottom and side wall formation surrounding the bottom proximate the periphery of the bottom, the bottom carrying on its surface a design to be carried by the moulded product, the bottom being separate from the side wall formation sot hat the side wall formation can be spaced from the bottom and be lowered to engage the bottom proximate the periphery of the bottom. The bottom may be one piece or may include a base supporting a tongue movable to a raised position for receiving a bag or sack of material for the purposes of injecting foamable thermoplastics material onto the bag or sack.

摘要： A method of making a skin of an interior trim part and an interior trim part made according to the process. A male mold having a convex portion is used to form a skin having a uniform thickness that is sprayed on the surface of the mold. The surface of the mold has a grain pattern that is transferred to a skin. The skin is allowed to flash off or partially cure before being removed from the male mold. The skin is then turned inside out with the exterior surface being inverted to form a convex portion of the skin. The skin is placed into a female mold having a concave portion against which the convex portion of the skin is placed. Foam is injected into the inverted skin while in a female mold and is cured to form an interior trim part.
