    摘要: An apparatus configured to convert a rotary machine to a non-rotary machine is provided. The apparatus may include a tool body that engages a rotary head of a CNC mill and a rotation restraint member that is fixed at a stationary position relative to a rotational axis of the rotary head. An arm of the tool body may engage the rotation restraint member to prevent rotation of the tool body. A cutting tool may be coupled to the tool body such that rotation thereof is also fixed. The arm of the tool body may include an elongated aperture that allows for slight pivoting of the tool body and the cutting tool to facilitate chip removal and cutting in opposing directions. Related methods are also provided.

A quick-action coupling unit connects the changer magazine to the magazine head, and at least one interlocking guide device is arranged on the magazine head and on the changer magazine. The electrode caps to be kept available for supply are stored in the changer magazine in two cap guides. The cap guides are diagonally offset in the changer magazine and magazine head. A magazine closure mechanism is arranged on the side of the changer magazine facing the magazine head, and the side of the magazine head facing away from the changer magazine is opened in the form of an aperture sufficiently far in the access direction of the welding tongs to expose the full diameter of the electrode cap aperture positioned in the access direction.

    摘要: A device for exchanging simple tools that do not need utility service is adapted to facilitate coupling one such tool to, and uncoupling it from, a movable robotic arm. The device comprises an attaching member attachable to the tool, a supporting member connected to the arm and having an open slot therein and a recessed upper surface adjacent to the slot, and a retaining member movably mounted to the arm above the supporting member and spring-biased toward the supporting member slot and upper surface. The attaching member, attached to the tool, is received by the open slot, supported by the recessed upper surface, and yieldably retained there by the spring-biased retaining member during use. The attaching member is then withdrawn from the slot, upper surface, and retaining member, and returned to a storage rack located nearby.

    摘要: A tool storage and transfer mechanism for a tool changer punch press includes a magazine with at least two tool carrying elements located in spaced positions about its periphery adapted to releasably seat punch tooling. The magazine is mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis which is spaced below the plane of the work support surface of the punch press with the distance being dimensioned to locate the tool carrying elements in horizontal alignment with the tool mounting receptacles of the punch press when the magazine is rotated to locate them in the uppermost position. A peripheral portion of the magazine is of reduced radial dimension so that it will not extend above the plane of the workpiece support surface of the press when rotated into the uppermost position. A transfer mechanism effects the transfer of tooling between the uppermost tool carrying element of the magazine and the tool mounting receptacle of the punch press. In the preferred embodiment, the transfer mechanism effect horizontal motion of at least a portion of the magazine relative to the frame to move the tooling to and from the tool mounting receptacles.
