    摘要: In a lathe of a type employing a movable main spindle, the main spindle (2) is moved in a leftward and rightward direction (Y-axis direction) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the main spindle (2) after a workpiece (W) has been machined, and during the movement of the main spindle (2), the machined workpiece (W) is unloaded from the main spindle (2). At a position to which the main spindle (2) has further been moved, another workpiece (W) to be subsequently machined is loaded on the main spindle (2). The unloading of the machined workpiece (W) is carried out by a method in which the machined workpiece (W) is ejected by a workpiece eject means (7) built in a chuck (2a) in the main spindle (2).

The floating section (4) of the machine tool is provided with a hollow circular-plate-shaped inner ring (9) comprising an outer peripheral surface section (9a), an upper surface section (9b), and a bottom surface section (9c); and an outer ring (8) comprising an inner peripheral section (8a) and an inner ring receiving section (8b). The outer ring (8) is fixed to a robot arm. The inner ring (9) is fixed to a tool driving section. The outer peripheral surface of the inner ring (9) is formed by a spherical surface which is equidistant from the center point (14) of a hollow circular plate.

    摘要: A circular grinding machine wherein a reciprocable carriage supports a first rotary tool spindle for a relatively large grinding wheel and the housing including the bearing for the first spindle mounts a carrier which is pivotable about the axis of the first spindle by a fluid-operated motor and supports a second tool spindle for a relatively small grinding wheel. The carriage can be advanced to a first position to move the relatively large grinding wheel into coarse material removing contact with a rotary workpiece (such as a camshaft), and the carriage is thereupon retracted to a second position in which the carrier can be pivoted about the axis of the first spindle to move the relatively small grinding wheel into precision-finishing engagement with the pretreated workpiece.
