摘要: In a method for manufacturing a shaft, and surfaces of a pair of metal sheets are polished, and the metal sheets are each bent into a cylindrical or arcuate shape. The polished end surfaces of the metal sheets are butted together with the end surfaces facing each other. The butted end portions are diffusion-joined, thereby forming a cylindrical member. The cylindrical member is cooled, and ends of the cylindrical member are joined to linking members to form the shaft.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a torsion beam, the method comprising: a planarization step, in which a protruding portion of an upper mold presses the opposite end portions in the width direction of the blank to be plastically deformed to be flat while the opposite end portions in the width direction of the blank are supported by a side cam to face each other; a welding and bonding step for bonding the planarized opposite end portions in the width direction of the blank via welding; and a quenching step for heating the welded and bonded blank within a range of 900 to 970° C. for a retaining time within a range of 1 to 20 minutes and for cooling down the blank in a treatment liquid including at least one of water and oil in a range of 20 to 90° C.

摘要: Devices, systems, and methods are directed to automated techniques for fitting flanges to tubular sections used to form tubular structures, such as large-scale structures used in industrial applications (e.g., wind towers and pipelines). As compared to manual techniques for fitting flanges to tubular sections, the devices, systems, and methods of the present disclosure facilitate faster attachment of flanges, which may be useful for achieving cost-effective throughput. By way of further comparison to manual techniques, the devices, systems, and methods of the present disclosure may, further or instead, facilitate achieving tighter dimensional tolerances. In turn, such tighter dimensional tolerances may be useful for forming thinner-walled, lighter, and lower cost tubular structures. Still further or in the alternative, automated techniques for fitting flanges to tubular sections may facilitate attachment of multipiece flanges or other non-traditional flange geometries.

The invention further relates to a system consisting of said electrode and cooling tube, to a gas conducting unit, a plasma torch comprising same, a method for conducting gas in a plasma torch and a method for operating the plasma torch.

摘要: A welding machine includes an enclosure and a welding power supply mounted in an electronics compartment within the enclosure. A divider wall at least partially defines an engine compartment. A generator is operatively connected to the power supply. An engine, located within the engine compartment, drives the generator. An engine-cooling fan is coupled to the engine. A recessed side vent is in fluid communication with the electronics compartment and recessed in a lateral side of the enclosure, and a recessed air channel is formed by the lateral side and extends rearward from the side vent along the engine compartment. The engine-cooling fan draws cooling air forward through the recessed side vent and into the electronics compartment, and downward through the electronics compartment and into the engine compartment.

摘要: A laser brazing system including a torch body, a wire feed tip, a laser processing head, and a cooling collar. The torch body includes nozzle, mounting, and cooling sections. The nozzle section has a nozzle wall and a feed wire conduit. The cooling section has a cooling barrel, a coolant supply connection, and a coolant return connection. The wire feed tip has a feed wire outlet and is connected to one end of the torch body. The laser processing head directs laser light toward the feed wire outlet. The cooling collar is disposed on the nozzle section and includes a collar body and a coolant conduit. The collar body has a through-bore that receives the nozzle wall. The coolant conduit has an end portion attached to the collar body and a leg portion that transports coolant to and from the end portion.
