    Abstract: The present disclosure is for a metal fabrication locator device that is a plate, or other object as described herein, that is fastened to the tangent face of a receiving tube. A mating tube may then slide over the metal fabrication locator device such that the perimeter of the metal fabricator locator device biases the inside sidewall of the mating tube to precisely align it on the receiving tube. This eliminates the use of additional weld fixtures for positioning of tube members in a metal fabrication assembly. This also allows an end user to construct and weld a product together on their own with precise assembly. Also disclosed herein are methods of manufacture and assembly of a metal fabrication assembly using a metal fabrication locator device.

    Abstract: A pipeline clamp alignment device that is configured to be operably coupled to a pipeline clamp that is surroundably mounted to a pipeline wherein the present invention provides leverage to facilitate minor adjustments to the pipeline. The present invention includes a first embodiment and a second embodiment wherein both embodiments are configured to operably couple to a portion of a pipeline clamp. The first embodiment leverages a second section to be placed intermediate the clamp and the pipeline wall. A second embodiment is configured to slidably engage the clamp from above and employs a fastener to secure the body thereof in place on the clamp. Both the first embodiment and second embodiment utilize an adjustment member that is movably secured to the first embodiment and second embodiment. The adjustment member functions to bias against a wall of a pipeline and facilitate movement thereof.

    Abstract: A pipe flange is leveled for welding by using stainless steel using ball bearings attached to a U-shaped spring-loaded wire so a fitter is able to level a flange for welding while the wire supports a level. The ball bearings are part of a first leveling unit and a second leveling unit which comprise a flange leveling system. The spring acts to bias a first leg and a second leg of the leveling units such that the distal ends of both legs are biased toward each other. The ball bearings are axially co-linear with each other and are sized to be seated in bolt holes defined in the first and second sides of the pipe flange. A related process is also disclosed wherein the flange is adjusted until the associated flange holes on the first and second sides of the pipe flange are level with each other.

    Abstract: The automatic welding method includes: carrying a pipe on which a true circle weld groove and settling the pipe at a fit-up position in the welding station and carrying a hollow connection member on which a true circle weld groove is formed to a position near the fit-up position in the welding station by using the material transport robot; measuring the alignment state of the hollow connection member with respect to the fit-up position by using a gap sensor robot, and according to the results, moving the position of the hollow connection member to align the weld groove of the pipe with the weld groove of the hollow connection member; performing a root welding on the aligned weld grooves by using a GT welding robot; and performing a filling and cap welding on the aligned weld grooves by using a GM welding robot to manufacture a 2D spool.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a laser welding method of pipe fittings that mainly provides an automated butt welding process for two pipe fittings to be welded, comprising a laser welding device setup step, a material loading step, a first welding step, a second welding step, a third welding step, and a return to the original position step. The welding zone at the butt joint location of the two pipe fittings to be welded is divided to undergo three procedures through the aforementioned steps, using a laser assembly in conjunction with a reflection assembly, to provide a consistent automated butt welding for two pipe fittings to be welded, in order to reduce the time consumed during the butt welding of pipe fittings and increase the speed of the production process.
