    摘要： Provided is a cell wall or cell membrane disrupting device whereby cell walls and/or cell membranes of microorganisms, algae and the like contained in organic sludge and the like are disrupted, the device comprising a fixed disc, a rotating disc, a rotating shaft for driving of the rotating disc, a pressure reducing means and a housing, wherein at least one pair of the fixed disc and rotating disc are disposed facing each other, the center section of the fixed disc has a hollow section that is larger than the outer diameter of the rotating shaft passing through the center section, shearing force generated between the rotating disc and the fixed disc is applied to a target fluid having a water content of 89% or higher that has been loaded into the device, and the pressure inside the cell wall or cell membrane disrupting device is reduced to no greater than −0.08 MPa by the pressure reducing means. The device can contribute to increasing biogas, reducing sludge, culturing of algae, plant cultivation and culturing of marine products, and also to separation of CH4 and CO2, for example, as resources.

    摘要： A process for separating carpet fibers from carpet backing uses a grinder of the type having a rotor with a plurality of vertically spaced cutter discs and a fan disc below the cutter discs. Sections of carpet are fed into the grinder which grinds the carpet, separating the fibers from the backing and breaking the backing into relatively small particles. The grinder is connected with a series of ginning equipment for removing the ground backing from the fibers.

    摘要： A sensor, sensor disk, sensor measurement correction system, and method used in measuring a parameter in the refining zone. The sensor includes a spacer that spaces its sensing element from the disk. In one preferred embodiment, the spacer is made of an insulating material that insulates the sensing element from the thermal mass of the disk to prevent the thermal mass from affecting sensor measurement. The sensor includes a housing carried by the spacer that, in turn, carries the sensing element. Where the sensing element is a temperature sensing element, the housing is thermally conductive and the housing and spacer enclose the sensing element. Each sensor is disposed in the refining surface, preferably in its own separate bore in the disk and flush with or below axial refiner bar height. Signals from one or more sensors are processed by a processing device linked to a module containing calibration data that is applied to make sensor measurements more accurate. The module holds calibration data from sensors that are precalibrated before the sensor disk in which they are assembled is shipped, along with the module, to a fiber processing plant where the disk is installed in a refiner and the module connected to the processing device. In one preferred embodiment the sensor or sensors are carried by a sensor module that can be a removable segment of a refiner disk.

    摘要： A mill for grinding vegetable products comprises a fixed upper annular millstone in engagement with a lower rotatable millstone. The upper annular millstone has a central opening through which vegetable products such as grains are fed. Fixed to and extending axially upwardly from the lower millstone is a screw that extends in spaced relation through the central opening of the upper millstone and is threaded in a direction such that upon rotation of the lower millstone, the screw turns in such a direction as to serve as a screw conveyor to move material upwardly. In this way, the screw acts to unblock the passageway and prevent the bridging over of material such as might clog the mill. The screw terminates upwardly in a cutaway portion that provides an agitator offset to one side of the lower portion of the screw; and this offset portion serves as a stirrer to prevent clogging.
