    摘要： An apparatus and method for processing a crop residue, which includes but is not limited to, destroying weed seeds present in the crop residue. The apparatus (10) comprises an elongate housing (12) having an inlet (20) for receiving crop residue N and an outlet (22) for discharging the crop residue. The apparatus (10) also has one or more rotors (24), (26) located in the elongate housing (12). Each rotor (24), (26) comprises a plurality of radially extending impact members (28a), (28b), (28c), (28d), (28e), (28f) which rotate with the one or more rotors (24), (26) and impact against the crop residue, so that lighter material of the crop residue is subjected to less impacts and denser material of the crop residue is subjected to relatively more impacts.

    摘要： A device and a plate-like grinding tool for grinding feed material that has a housing extending along an axis of rotation, in which a rotor rotationally driven about the rotation axis is arranged and includes a plurality of axially parallel grinding tools that are surrounded by a stator with stator tools. The effective edges of the grinding tools are arranged radially spaced from the stator tools by forming a grinding gap extending over an axial length of the grinding gap. The material is fed into the grinding gap on an inlet side and exits from the grinding gap on an outlet side. The axially extending effective edges of the grinding tools are divided in the axial direction into at least two first sections, each with a first radial distance from the rotational axis and into at least one second section with a second radial distance from the axis of rotation.

    摘要： A grinder includes a generally vertical, rotatable shaft having at least one set of cutter blades driven thereby and a fan assembly mounted on the shaft below the cutter blades in position to receive output therefrom. The fan assembly includes a fan disc secured to the shaft and rotatable therewith. Fan blades are secured to the fan disc in a generally radial orientation. Each fan blade includes a bottom flange secured to a top surface of the fan disc, a web extending upwardly from the bottom flange and a top flange extending outwardly from the web in a direction of rotation of the fan disc. The fan blades are preferably moveably mounted to the fan disc such that the angle of the fan blades relative to a true radial orientation can be adjusted.

Barrel heaters and coolers are provided for heating the polymeric material to a temperature less than its decomposition temperature in the heating zone and for maintaining the polymeric material below its melting point in the powder formation zone. The screw comprises a high shear screw section for applying normal and shear forces within the powder formation zone to form a powder of the solid state polymeric material.

Sections of carpet are fed into the grinder which grinds the carpet, separating the fibers from the backing and breaking the backing into relatively small particles. The grinder is connected with a series of ginning equipment for removing the ground backing from the fibers.
