摘要: A filter sampling bag for use in a mixer for the preparation of samples for carrying out analyses and/or microbiological tests, the sampling bag formed from a plastic and having a bottom, side walls, and a mouth opening. The sampling bag is compartmentalized by a filtering partition delimiting a receiving chamber for a sample and a sampling chamber to permit a taking of samples. The sampling bag is marked with a visual indicator of a correct, predetermined closing position of the sampling bag after mixing. A combination or kit for the preparation of samples comprises a mixer and a filter sampling bag. Further disclosed is a method of manufacturing such a filter sampling bag for use in a mixer for the preparation of samples to permit analyses and/or microbiological tests.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for separating blood components are disclosed in which an apparatus for separating blood generally includes a tube defining a channel and configured for receiving a quantity of blood and a float contained within the tube and having a density which is predefined so that the float is maintained at equilibrium between a first layer formed from a first fractional component of the blood and a second layer formed from a second fractional component of the blood. Upon completion of the centrifugation, the first layer may be removed from the tube while the float isolates the second layer from the first layer.

A desiccant within the blood sample carrier aids with the drying of the blood and the discarding of the excess sample blood. The device is stored/transported within a modified atmosphere package comprised of an impermeable sealable bag and an oxygen scavenger compound for removing oxygen from the bag.

摘要: A collection device is disclosed having a tubular housing detachably receiving a valved bulb reservoir at a first end thereof, the housing having a second end for dispensing fluids. The valved bulb reservoir has a sample capillary tube attached at one end thereof. The bore of the capillary is fluidically coupled to the valved bulb reservoir. The capillary is removed from the tubular housing to collect a sample in its bore, and is then replaced into the tubular housing. The contents of the valved tubular reservoir, which can be a buffer solution, a reagent, or other analytic fluid, or a gas, are then passed through the capillary bore to expel the sample and mix therewith in the housing. The sample product can then be dispensed from the tubular housing.
